Mark Roman has surgery

Starting free safety Mark Roman underwent an arthroscopic procedure approximately 10 days ago to clean up his right shoulder, a team spokesman said. He will likely be limited during the first week of organized team activities on June 2, 3, 5 and 6.

Roman should be available to resume full activity for the final two weeks of OTAs. Second-year player Dashon Goldson will likely take the bulk of the first-team repetitions with Roman limited.

Roman's condition came to light because of a video on the team's website of a visit he made that week to a local school. Roman was shown wearing a sling on his right arm.
