and you thought she was greedy and selfish telling her fans that they deserve to pay 300 bucks a ticket to her show cause she's "worth it", check her out comparing herself to Rob Gronkowski, as if she's been playing football for years and knows what an injury feels like.

Dear NFL, hope you're happy you chose this stupid bitch over David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, and any other old 70's rockers that would have been more than grateful to do the halftime show.

I absolutely hate this choice. It's one of the things I console myself with when I think about the fact that we aren't there.

Well, the Stones got to do the Super Bowl, so I try not to complain as much. For me, the Stones are my favorite band of all time, and I think they totally deserved to do the Super Bowl for giving us album after album of great songs for such a long time, but I really would have loved to see Bowie do it too. Madonna was just an awful choice, but we all said "Well, you can't get worse than the black eyed peas" which she isn't worse than them sound wise, but I definitely hate her ego.

LOL. Ironic how the entertainment choice is fitting for the stinked-up game.
Based on recent interview, M thinks Lady Gaga ripped off her song & edgy persona. I personally think Lada Gaga has a lot more class. At least she seems like a much more compassionate person. Madonna is an 80's has-been, IMO.

I have no problem with her comparing herself to Gronk. She is probably right; and given that, I think I would prefer to listen to him sing at half time.

I said very early on that the only entertainment that there could possibly be at halftime of this game is if this "never was" were to fall off the stage...that and a couple of streakers tossed in would be a nice touch...

I've never been much of a "pop culture" kinda guy...even back to the day when Madonna was the "it" girl back in the early days of MTV (when they still played music videos). I'm still not ... I grew up from being a boring, nonplussed farm boy to an equally immovable old guy.

What I will say is that Madonna is the reason that I gave up on MTV earlier than most - because I never thought she could sing...I thought she sounded more like a cat with her tail caught in a door - and she was on there all the time, it seemed ...but, that's just me. I've always preferred performers/bands who just got up and played. Never a big fan of large stage productions with choreographed sets and 40 backup dancers...blah blah blah...still, the most memorable Super Bowl halftime show that I recall was Michael Jackson's - and I wasn't a Michael Jackson fan neither.

Anyway, back in the early 80's I managed a very busy bar while I was in college and there were a good number of women/girls/females who absolutely followed the fashion trends set by the Madonna rage. The bartenders that I hired were not allowed to do "the Madonna thing" while working because I just felt it was about the most mindless thing I had ever encountered - yet, the college girls would crowd the place with their Madonna clown faces on and the crooked loose knit sweaters and get about their lives. One thing is for sure, as a horny young man, it sure made finding potential dates easier...I just stayed away from the Madonna wannabe's. Sorry if that sounds sexist...I'm just saying that I found nothing about her appealing...and this Gaga thing is cut from the same mold.

Still, I'll find something else to do during the Super Bowl halftime.

I hear you, I can't speak on the 80's as I was a wee-baby during that time, and the earliest memories for me were Remakes or a continuation of the 80's, AKA the 90's. but as a 24 yr old now it annoys me how much sway Lady Gaga has over the Music Industry and Women Artists, Almost all Women Artists are in some way trying to emulate the "Over the Top" images and style of Gaga, even Girls I once considered to be Hot like Christina Aguilerra(SP), Katy Perry, Rihanna etc. Most Girls are not going around acting like Gaga but her Music sucks and Gaga is nothing but a Rip-off of Madonna.

This Superbowl is gonna suck, Wack Teams playing and a Wack Half Time Artist..:(

I always wonder, and still do, how she got to be so popular.
Did she screw the right men to be popular or was it on her talent alone?
I'm sure others have had the same thoughts because of her slutty-ness.

I remember when Mtv made a big deal when Madonna had her baby.
They had a little graphic in the bottom corner of the screen announcing "It's a girl!"
All I could think of was "So what? Big deal. She is having this baby out of wedlock and the father isn't going to be around."
I'm old fashioned. I don't think that babies should be raised by single mother's. I think the man who knocks her up should be there too. And if he can't be, then put the baby up for adoption.

You have to remember, we're talking about the woman who boasted that when she was in her limo, if she saw a good looking guy on the street, she would have her driver stop and she'd get the guy into the limo and have her way with him right then and there. I'm pretty sure old fashioned isn't in her vocabulary.

Now that I think about it...that would qualify her pretty well to be a good Giants fan...
