1/2 a game down - beating the bolts 35 to 3. I started a Franchise, went through training camp (Favre was dropped to like an 88 overall in this version which is ridiculous - but anyway) and have started preseason. Thus far on PS2 it's not significantly better than 2006 but the new lead blocker feature is very fun to try out. The menus when you call an audible or playmaker control for a hot route are also very cool. They come up on the side of screen and let you know what some of your options are, very nice addition.

Kicking is crazy easy, and much quicker this year.

I will post more as I get into it.

Me too but you can still talk a good game can't you? I'll be married 23 years this week (if we make it).

Been playing around a lot with the lead blocker feature, very cool. My first game of the preseason ended up a close one - 77-3. I think the default difficutly may need to be adjusted for the remainder of my franchise.

No problems to speak of playing on my PS2, very happy after the worryful post Trom posted about people having problems. Actually it ran better than 2006 was before I switched to 2007.

    I like it!

Is the roster update downloadable? Or do you have to manually update your team?

    download.

you have to have network adaptor and all this stuff. I have it cuz I play Socom 2.

It really is the most convenient aspect of the madden franchise. theyve had downloadable rosters for...years.

    noobs!

yeah, you have to update the player ratings yourself, but do that AFTER they give you updated roster of PLAYERS (the Jon Ryans, Rayners, Herrons, an accurate offensive line scheme, etc)

    then update the rankings.

If you check out some of the big sites like football-freaks, madden mania, operation sports, etc, they'll have kickass roster updates in the coming weeks, guaranteed.

Is it just me or did they get rid of that passing window thing? I really liked that feature from 2006 and it didn't seem to be part of the game when I broke it open yesterday night.

TO are you talking about the QB vision? It's still in the game but there is now a setting for optional or something like that. perhaps yours is just turned off?

Yeah. It's not working on mine for some reason. It's easier to play without it but I'd kind of gotten used to the old version.

ok another dumb question... How can HOF players be "unlocked"? I see them on the load screens, but have no idea how to ever play as them....besides historic teams, but they aren't named on those.
