Bring your smack into this thread, but I was a little impressed by the Lions this Sunday, holding the #1 offense in the NFC to 9 points and Alexander to 51 yards. James Hall had two sacks and so did Rogers. Ernie Sims with 8 tackles.
As usual, Kevin Jones didn't get enough carries. Kitna looked a little rusty and a few penalties shot us in the foot. Mike Williams was inactive and of all people, Mike Furrey had 5 catches; mostly over the middle and hung on to the thing. This is looking like a new Detroit Lions team.

Is it true that Roy Williams guaranteed a victory next Sunday in Chicago?

    Williams did guarantee a victory...
    http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsSt ... ry_id=2401

But I don't see it happening Roy. It's a little early for the Lions yet, but they will become a formidable team very soon. I've been waiting for this for over 20 years... they're starting to become a team.
So if they lose, Williams just looks like another cocky receiver. But if they win, I think there will be a bit of swagger around here.

    We'll just have to see.

The Lions are going down this Sunday, a repeat of week 2 last season. :D Lions + road games = unsuccessful  I was pretty impressed with the Lions defense as well this past week but I was more impressed with the Bears on both sides of the ball....of course we were just playing the Packers.

Congrats to the Detroit Lions on there big lose at home.
After scoring 2 FGs I can see why Roy Williams said that they were "stupid close" to scoring 40 points in that game.

Stupid being the key word here.

well... I have 2 predictions for this game. The homer in me says 16-10 Lions. Reality says 13-7 Bears.
But I think we both want a good game either way, right Bears fans?

Once again for the "what's the purpose of playing" challenged:

    Packers 0-1

    Lions 0-1

it will be a close game, but the lions offense is no match right now for the Bears defense. Bears win 10 - 3.

First of all, the Packers play the kitties in 11-12 days. Secondly, I really don't know how you are going to see me but it wouldn't surprise me. In a recent poll Lions fans were voted "biggest homoerotic stalkers". So you got THAT going for you. That and about .........oh.....ZERO Lombardi Trophies!!

The Lions were also the team voted most likely to beat the Packers twice this year. The Bears already have the distinction of shutting you out on your home field. The Lions are just there to make you look even worse.

    Have a good day.

Funny part is, we got rid of the guy who gave you the game last time. Hell, we went to overtime with you guys with an ancient qb with a bad leg on the 2nd game. It will be interesting to see how the lion's compare. I don't want to get to excited yet.

    Peuw!
The Lions keep leaving that stinky cat smell at Soldier Field.

Actually they were "stupid close" to scoring 60 points this time. I would hate to face this team in the playoffs... after they go 5-11 and get home field.

Come on. 5-11 is "stupid close" to 13-3 right?
