Wide receiver Kevin Johnson is out for the season with a ruptured right Achilles tendon that appears to need surgery. Pro Bowl cornerback Dre' Bly is out indefinitely because of a dislocated bone in his right wrist that might need surgery. And Pro Bowl defensive tackle Shaun Rogers is week to week with a sprained right medial collateral ligament.
The Lions were already without their starting wide receivers. Charles Rogers has one game left in his four-game suspension for substance abuse. Roy Williams has missed two games because of a strained quadriceps and remains questionable. Mike Williams, Scottie Vines and Glenn Martinez need to fill the void, along with Troy Edwards, whom the Lions signed Monday. Pro Bowl kick returner Eddie Drummond might not be able to help because he's still questionable with a knee injury.
