Does anyone buy music any more?
If so, what was the last good album you bought?

I bought HIM's new album Venus Doom right after the game and I like it a lot so far. I already got tickets to see them later on this year.

    "Colma" - By Buckethead.

It's a really chill and relaxed CD with some great musicianship. Check it out if you like that kinda thing.

Just to let you know, Colma is where you do NOT want to be when the zombie plague starts. There are more dead than live people there.

Buckethead is a freak, but one heck of a guitarist. I'll have to check it out.

Yeah, I haven't really listened to much Buckethead outside of that one album. But I love how chill and relaxing that CD is.

Another good melodic, not-heavy even though it's a usually heavy band is

    -Opeth - "Damnation."

Very minor, yet relaxing with great guitar work.

And as always, you can't go wrong with most Red Hot Chili Pepper and 311 CD's. Here's a couple I would reccomend:

-Red Hot Chili Pepper's - "By the Way." One of my favorite albums of all time. Very epic, moving, powerful, and unique. 5 out of 5 stars. A must have

-311 - "Evolver." An overall 4 out or 5 stars I would say, but with some incredible stand out tracks, the best being "Sometimes Jacks Rule the Realm." Thier best piece yet in my opinion. Now if we could just get more songs like this.

    Runner's up would be:

-Pearl Jam - "Yield." Not a bad CD at all. 3 out of 5 stars.

-Soulive - "Any CD. If you're into Jazzy, sexy, jamming rock, you must check these guys out. They rock.

    I can keep going on!

    Humanity Hour1 -- The Scorpions

Yes they are always thought of as a 80's band, but give this new album a listen. I caught them live a month ago in Ottawa and it was just insane how good they were.

Icky Thump by The White Stripes. I thought this cd was pretty good all in all. They're kind of an older rock flare mixed with modern.

Great band from Minneapolis. It's a damn shame they aren't together anymore.

Hey........don't get upset! I KNOW you are young....it just makes me feel REALLY old when someone doesn't know what a "phonograph" is!!! Or an 8-track!
I mean.......looking at what we have now, it's hard to believe that there was a time when everyone didn't walk around with their own TELEPHONE in their pocket! You either called from your house, or you had to look for a pay phone, and hope you had enough change to make a call.
For that matter........look how we are talking on a computer, to ENGLAND and back! If you would have told me this stuff would be happening when i was a kid, i would have laughed and thought it was crazy!
