John Dorsey, who is entering his 22nd season in NFL personnel, has been promoted to Packers director – football operations.

I am a little confused on this because per this article on May 4th they were saying Eliot Wolf, Ron Wolf's son, was going to be promoted to Reggie Mckenzie's old position. I wonder what happened, I am still reading up on what's going on, anyone else know?

Good catch. According to the article Wolf was indeed going to be Director of Football Operations. This is puzzling.

The article linked said “a source said…” The source just got it wrong. Dorsey got the top job under Thompson and Wolf and Gutekunst are next in line in the personnel department. From jsonline:
