I'm here to revoke your "18-1" privileges.
You aren't allowed to say "18-1" ever again.

    Why?

    "15-2"

You didn't go undefeated. You didn't make it to the Superbowl. In fact, you didn't do anything this season. Just did a few things "almost" as good as the Patriots. You "almost" beat their winning streak, that's about it. Unless you want to hang a banner in your stadium that says "almost" this season was a complete failure. It'll be completely forgotten. It's even less memorable as last years 14-2 Patriots because at least Brady was voted the first ever unanimous league MVP and set a record for most completions without an interception.

    Rodgers didn't do squat.

    So, let's begin.

In 2007 the New England Patriots went undefeated in the regular season. Not "kind of undefeated.," not "almost undefeated," not "could of gone undefeated." They went undefeated. 16-0. First time in history.

They did this in spectacular fashion, solidifying themselves as the greatest offense in the history of the NFL, shattering record after record after record after record. These records still stand.

Green Bay didn't. They didn't go undefeated. They didn't break any of the Patriots records. They didn't do anything but make themselves look good against a weak schedule. They lost to Kansas City. This season will be forgotten. It was nothing special. Nothing special at all.

The Patriots then made it to the Superbowl and lost what is considered to be the greatest upset in NFL history, and it was lost in the final minute of the game. 18-1. That's a story the Patriots can hold their head high on, even without the trophy, even if it stings.

The Packers didn't make it to the Superbowl. They didn't even make it to the NFC championship. You didn't even lose a close game. You got destroyed. You got man handled in your own house. In fact, it's hard to even call that game an upset as many people were picking the Giants to win the game, from NFL fans to NFL commentators. You choked hard and went down in flames without winning a single post season game. You got destroyed in your own stadium even with officials trying to engineer you a win. Really just embarrassing after all the hype (hype I knew was just hype).

    "15-2."

I'll take a historic and universally remembered 18-1 over a whimpering 15-2 any day of the week.

So i'm here to revoke your "18-1" privileges. You can still say it, of course, but it no longer has any sting coming from Green Bay. None at all.

P.S. Rodgers isn't an elite quarterback. He isn't a Brady or a Manning. Without all his weapons and his offense and his gravy schedule you'll see him for exactly what he is - Tony Romo in a Packer uniform.

BTW, in late November or so I told you the Patriots were going to go to the Superbowl and you asked me if they were buying tickets. That's funny now, isn't it?

This is absurd. Why would a Patriots fan be so obsessed with the Packers and what their fans say in a smack section? The Packers are not even in the playoffs and you are still here? Shouldn't you be trolling a Ravens forum if you are not already? Or even a Giants or Niners forum to tell them about your big bad boys.

To put down Rodgers is ridiculous. Not like this loss was all on him. He did not play his best but it's not like the drops or fumbles helped either. He carried a team this year who finished with the last ranked defense. He carried a team who at times didn't even have an o line to protect him. He carried a team to 14 wins a year after winning the Super Bowl MVP and will likely win MVP for this regular season. He is elite. He is not in the HOF but he might be if he continues on this pace. God, the guy just turned 28 in December. Give him a break.

And you are lying. Getting your *** kicked in the first round to end the pain early is not nearly as bad as going 18-0 and then losing on a 2 minute drill in the Super Bowl. You know this and I know this. Pats fans everywhere will always despise the Giants and be scared of them. Seeing the helmet catch in so many NFL highlights burns you more then anything.

Be my guest. Pump up your 2007 season all you want but it's painful for you and always will be. You will never have a Pats team go 18-0 again and be in that spot.

Gravy schedule? The Packers beat playoff teams this year with winning records in the regular season. Not sure if it was all gravy like you say.

Also the Pats got busted in 2007 FOR CHEATING.
Must be nice to open the playoffs with a Tebow led team who should have won 6 games......

Awwww', Packers fans don't like football anymore. A season of delusions of grandeur and now they're all done.
Some Packers fans, admittedly, understood their team was terribly flawed. Others, though, were parading around like they were something unique. There was nothing unique or special about the 2011 Packers. Just one of a long list of losers.

Rodgers isn't elite. He has a strong offense around him. Tell me what sort of stats your back up quarterback produced with your offense and your weak opponents.

    Yeah, exactly.

Once you have changes in your personnel, which you will, you'll see how mediocre Rodgers is. Mr. Discount Double Check will be back to Tony Romo status. He's no Joe Montana. He's no Tom Brady. He's a flash in the pan.

Really? You would rather have a season, now exposed as over hyped against mediocre opponents, that ended pitifully at home in the first post season game in a crushing blowout, then make the Superbowl the first undefeated team in the 16 week season era? Complete with an unsurpassed offensive performance and culminating with what many consider to be the greatest Superbowl of all time? You think that's worse than the egg you laid in Green Bay this year? Ok.

And why are you bringing up Denver? Denver found ways to beat teams all season. They beat the Steelers in the post season. Then they came to Gillette and a REAL elite quarterback put on a post season performance for the ages, complete with record setting TD's, and an epic 3rd down troll punt. That game was awesome. I'm sure we here in New England had a lot more fun watching it than you had watching your media-hype team get squashed at home in the most pathetic first seed performance i've seen in a long time.

Now we're on our way to the Superbowl, like I said we would be months ago while also trying to tell you your team and your quarterback was overrated.

It's great being right all the time.

I'll say it once and I will say it again.

This guy may not be a real Pats fan. It makes no sense for a Pats fan to troll a Packers forum off and on in a season and to still be here. There is no rivalry.

He could be a fan of another team pretending to be a Pats fan to have an excuse to troll here.

I am not even sure I ever met a Pats fan this dumb before and I met several.

Oh the irony. 2008 with a backup QB and 11-5 with all that talent around Cassel.

The Pats had a weak schedule this season. It's no wonder you were confident and still are. So name me the team with a winning record the Pats beat again? Oh wait........there isn't one!!!! Oh wait the Giants beat the Packers. Wait a second.......the Patriots ALSO lost to the Giants. And a banged up Giants team to boot at home. I do find it a miracle though the Packers managed to beat the Broncos this year. And easily. How did they do this? How did they get over such a hurdle?

    18-1* 18-1* 18-1* 18-1* 18-1* 18-1* 18-1*

BTW it was A FUMBLE. Don't give me the refs. Pats get lapped up by them at times too.

The inferior always tries to emulate the superior. Trying to justify why his team should be considered better than ours. That's the only reason I can think of for this Pats fellow to be in the Packers forum.

How the Packers are better than you think
    1) They didn't cheat to win. Patriots did and probably still do.
    2) 2011 NFC North Champs. We'll take it.
    3) 15-1. Best record for the Packers. Best record out of all teams this year. Including your Cheaters.
    4) Ted Thompson/Mike McCarthy. Best team in all of the NFL at putting together a winning team.
    5) Packers are last years Super Bowl champs. Are the Cheatriots? No. Didn't think so.
    6) Cheaters have yet to beat two more teams to be the NFL champs this year.
    7) 13 times NFL champions. How many NFL championships have the Cheaters won? Is it even double digits? Is it? Answer me.
    8) The trophy is named after Vince Lombardi. It will never, ever, ever be named Bill Bellicheck.
Why not? Because Vince Lombardi won games though sheer will and determination and not cheating.

Here I am hating the Giants.
Don't make me/any of us love them and to root for them against the Cheaters if they meet again in the Super Bowl.
Actually if they both meet, I just won't give a damn and won't watch.

Obviously this Pats fan feels strongly about 18-1 and it has always been in his head. He is embarrassed though which is why he is now trying to get 15-2 to take off over 18-1. Good luck with this. :)

In a way maybe the Chiefs were a blessing. Imagine going 16-1? *shudders*

Weird... because I am pretty sure since Favre left, Rodgers has won more playoff games than Brady.

You must be nervous, Brady has only a couple more years left, uh oh!

Clearly you are extremely insecure about the whole 18-1 thing.

They all are. They all are. Deep down.

It's historical. Or as I like to say "hysterical."

It's like trying to find a Yankees fan "proud" they blew it to the Red Sox with a 3-0 lead.

I don't know. I think I would PREFER a 15-2 and an early exit to an 18-1, and lose it in the big game.

I don't see why. I mean whats better then to go 18-0 and then to lose the big one on a helmet catch?

How lucky are those Pats fans to witness such an event. God they must have been thrilled. Also I think Brady must have gotten sacked and hit around 15 times in that game. Must have been terrific.

While you are an obviously a sad troll, I do agree somewhat. Packer fans are going to have to move on to something else, 18-1 will not have the same ring to it coming from us.
