While one would be quick to call out improper usage of the english language then the same must be able to be called out for making a post void of logic.

Since SBXLII has not occured yet, how are you to return to it? Are you referring to returning to SBXI? In which case feel free to stake that claim. I fully understand your desire to return there, similar to those who feel a need to visit Custer's last stand. Both were sites of massacres.

I will be happy to match wits with you even though I am not used to using only a quarter of my wits...... 8)

To answer your question......NO. Rex's butt is much stinkier!
But a rat has a MUCH better chance of leading the Bears to a SB victory!

If Rex performs badly in his first few games, then who says Griese isn't put in? There's 3 more options at quarterback for the Bears, every defensive position has a decent backup, and the running back position is the only spot where the backups need alot of work.

The Bears have been on a steady rise since 2005. Are they just going to run out of steam? I don't think so.

beardown, you are putting in waaaaaaay too much logic. This is teh smack forum. Logic not needed (however, in Polars case it is another point for basis of smack)

You guys will be good. no question. however, if Greise comes in, that means that Grossman isn't productive. Yet, his backup will be? Then why isn't he in there now? do the coaches know something? hmmm.....

7 of the last 9 superbowl LOSERS did not even make the playoofs the following year, much less the superbowl. Were all of them on the downslide or were they getting steam then too?

A steady rise for two whole seasons. I guess consecutive winning seasons for the Bears is a huge step for them. There will not be a third winning season in a row. I really don't believe that back to back winning seasons qualifies as a steady rise.

You would know this as a Vikings fan. Atleast the Bears, like the Packers, have a rich history and the trophies to show for it. The Vikings have NOTHING to show for their success. But, I don't expect much from any team that plays in the Shitrodome.

Yeah, you are right the Bears do have a rich history. They had the best team in the NFL from 84-88. They must have won five consecutive Bowls. Let me check. Guess not, they only won one. Too bad you don't remember that. You were still ******** green when they won it. Not Packer green though.

Wow I feel so dumb. You're right, the Vikings have a WAY richer history, being that they were the first team to play in four Super Bowls. But wait, the Vikings are one of the only teams that predate the Super Bowl to never actually win it. So, doesn't that mean the Vikings are the first team to lose four Super Bowls? You may have dominated the 70's, but you have nothing to show for it.

As far as the Bears go, well I think 9 championships and the most all-time wins in the NFL pretty much says it all.

And the really sad part is, those 2 "ties" are purple and yellow.............and it's REALLY hard to find a suit to go with those!

The Bears did win one super bowl, have to give them credit for that. Most of the other 8 championships came when there were 10 or fewer teams in the league.

LT....oh digger up of dead posts........I'm glad you had your shovel today!!!
This thread is WAY to precious!!!
Bears winning the Super Bowl........yeah, i'd say they have just as much chance as they had last year! Of course they are SOOO much better because "Wrecks" isn't the QB anymore. Bob.......I mean Brian Griese is in there now.
They can STILL get to 6 wins though. Maybe. LOLOLOL!!!
We have a SLIGHTLY better chance of making it to 6 wins........all we need is ONE out of the last 10 to do it.
BearDown said:"Bears go 12-4 at the minimum."
Hmmm...........i guess they still could.........if they win ALL their remaining games!!! But i think they used up all their money paying off the refs at Lanbeau Field, so they don't have anything left to pay them off.
Where IS little ol' "BearDown" lately?????
