Give her a break. She's got 1500 posts for crying out loud lol. I was on this forum for probably 3 or 4 years before I actually signed up. Just because I signed up in January doesn't make me or her a fair-weather fan. Her favorite team is the Colts. We should respect that and just all be happy that her 2nd favorite team is the Packers.

I concur. Jules seems to me more of a Packers fan than anything and a dang good one at that. We are happy to have her here, it doesn't matter when she joined. The date you join a forum and or started posting on it is not the same as the date you became a fan of the team. That's why the board has a feature in our profile that will tell you when we became a fan as well as when you joined the forum. The two are not the same.

If someone ever told me that I was a fair-weather Packer fan, I would pull out the good old picture of me when I was 3 years old in a Packers Jersey and cheesehead in front of the TV with the game on! :)

Indeed. The argument made against Jules was a poor one. When you are reduced to critiquing somebody's join date or the date they became a fan (fair-weathered fan), they are merely grasping at straws and gasping for air at that point.

Wow you joined once the Packers made the playoffs? You are such a bandwagoner. ;)

Honestly I was lurking at around 3 Packers forums and chose this one. And the general NFL discussions are better here also then other forums I have seen.

Colts forums have become a pile of poo. Pats forums were already a pile of poo. I mean at least I am a fan of the Packers. I see Pats fans who live on Colts forums and Colts fans who live on Pats forum. I can't do that. I hate the Pats. Why would I want to read about them all the time?

The only other forum I have posted on recently is the Texans. I had to wish them luck and stuff a few times. They are a gracious fanbase. Really the best bet for a SB opponent in terms of fans.

Yeah, the other Packers forum I found is not as clean looking and is not nearly as organized or active.

Yup. I'm on three different Niner boards but this is my favorite forum to post in.

I'm kinda thinkin' about starting a Niner board on this network. It could be fun. Right now there are only boards for the Chargers, Packers, Seahawks and Gators so why not? There's plenty of room. All I need is the bucks to buy in.

I love how "Jules" brought up her join date first as supporting facts to why she is NOT a fairweather fan (saying "I joined before the Superbowl), and yet, when I call her out saying she joined one day before the SB, as to say that doesn't really mean jack in terms of fanhood, you all twist it around and make it seem like I'm the one who brought up her join date as a reason she isn't a true fan.

You guys are a hoot I tell ya!

Is it possible she lurked here for a while and with the SB near wanted to partake in discussions?

I know lot of people that have lurked for years and not join

Well my first mistake was to unknowingly get into an argument with a girl on a football forum that protects it's members like a mother bear and her cubs. Even though she told me to drink my own piss after I said something respectful to Packer fans, but who's counting right? You guys really know how to coax people into trolling when that isn't their intention.

That's fine with what you said, and I agree there's nothing wrong with that. I NEVER SAID A JOIN DATE WAS RELATED TO YOUR FANHOOD! Wow. But if she's going to bring that up as ammo, it doesn't really work when you join ONE DAY before the SB. Get it? She was the one who brought it up in the first place. You guys are ridiculously protective over here and don't let anyone fight their own battles so this is just a lost cause.

Yeah, last week some Lions fan attacked me as being a bandwagon fan because I am from Indiana and joined this forum in January 2011, but I started attending Packer games in 1966, and was watching them on television a year or two before that. I have been a die-hard Packer fan since I started watching them in person in 1966. I don't have season tickets and have not been to a game in Lambeau for a number of years, but that does not make me any less a fan. The join date on this forum as a basis for determining fan sincerity is, in many cases, irrelevant.

Do I really need to break it down? OK....

Here I am stating that she is a fair weather fan because she can switch jerseys and she doesn't have loyalty to one team. Where did I mention a join date in relation to her fanhood?

Hmmm...somebody brought that up as ammo in their case for their fanhood.

Nice attempt to turn it around on me though guys.....

No one is fighting..You want to back her in a corner and was just pointing out what might be a reason why joined on that date..

As far as being protective maybe..But she has been her a while and we know her..Then we get invaders and those invaders try to talk crap to people, we step up to assist.

After all she is a girl and must know nothing of football so she needs help? A real men to protect her

First off, there are plenty of girls out there with quite a bit of football knowledge, Jules is among them. Secondly, do they not "protect their own" on a Giants forum, especially if it is a good, well known member of that forum?

As far as your assumptions that she is "a fair weather fan because she can switch jerseys and she doesn't have loyalty to one team", she is, first and foremost a Colts fan. It would have taken precious little time on your part to see that. She is also (gasp!) a fan of the Packers, especially in light of having nothing to cheer for with the Colts this season.

Things get a bit spirited here around a big game, as they do on other teams' forums as well. I'm looking forward to the game this weekend, though am not in any big rush to watch any videos of anyone drinking any bodily fluids regardless of outcome. Good luck to your team, it's going to be a hard fought game on both sides.
