    Put it this way:
My team blows, but just a little less than yours.

Once again your view of Packer History only covers whatever seasons make the Packers look good.
Let's see... in the last 30 years the Packers have won 1 Super Bowl... the Bears have won 1 Super Bowl.
The Packers have won 6 division titles... the Bears have won 8 division titles.
The Packers have gone to the playoffs 11 times... the Bears have gone to the playoffs 11 times.
The Packers have won 237 regular season games... the Bears have won 243 regular season games.

The truth is that the Bears are the better team right now and should be for the next few years at least. You can call it luck if that makes you feel better but I would much rather have the Bears current team than the Packers.
How many NFL fans that actually know something about football would take the Packers roster over the Bears?
How many Packer players could even start for the Bears?

Well, it's got to be the Vikes or the Lions and they both blow equally.

How are you going to run smack on the Packers and then be ashamed to tell everyone who you cheer for?

Phil said: "How many Packer players could even start for the Bears?"

    Your right Phil, none!

Cause they wouldn't WANT to play for "Da Bears!"
And i think the rest on here already covered the rest of your post........like why you CHOOSE to go back ONLY as far as when the Packers won the first TWO Super Bowls. I say, lets go back as far as 1987..........how many Super Bowls have the Bears won since then? ZERO. The Packers? ONE.

Zero, he said how many packer players could start for the bears. He didn't say "Packer players THIS year", so that means from any era. Therefore the list would be amazingly huge. :)

Brett Favre- Thats debateable, Mr.Pickles will not give it to you or take it from you.

Ahman Green- Ah, no. Lets put it this way, if the Packers had Cedric Benson, he would be your starter. And on the Bears, hes a back-up.

    Embarrassing.

William Henderson- In his prime, sure, right now no.

Donald Driver, Bubba Franks- Mr.Pickles can not argue that.

Chad Clifton, Mark Tauscher- Over John Tait and Fred Miller?

    Embarrassing.

Nick Barnett- Barnett over Brian Urlacher?(snicker.snicker) Lance Briggs?(hahahahahha), Hunter HillenmayeHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Oh, thank you, Mr.Pickles did need a good laugh!

    Nick Collins- Whos Nick Collins?

Charles Woodson- When he played, sure, but he got his payday, Mr.Pickles see's him playing oh 3 games for the life of his contract.

Canadian punter- Over Brad Maynard? Hate to tell ya, Brad Maynard is one of the best. That is not a good thing.

Boom, boom, boom, another one bites the dust....

    Screw it.
I'm a Lions fan, through and through. Been with them since I was a wee tot in 1989.
Now, I do hold a personal belief that the Lions will finish ahead of the Packers. But common sense tells me that the Bears and Vikings will finish above both of us.
Anything negative you can say about the Lions I will probably not argue with.

Underachieving receiving core. I still don't believe in Rogers or R. Williams.
    Underachieving running backs - yup.
    Nobody at QB - yup.
    Defensive line is OK.
    Linebackers are injury-prone and untested
defensive backs - a bunch of nobodys
Seriously, right now I agree with whatever you say about the Lions. They haven't shown me anything. But as dire as our franchise is, I think we're better off than you. And as the season progresses, I think the Lions will be a different team.[IMG]

I'm a Lions fan and I admit that I'd love to have Urlacher and just about anyone on their defense. And you guys need to own up to that, too. The Bears DO NOT suck. I might not like them, but they certainly don't suck. Debatably the best defense in the NFL.
The Lions do suck, but Packer fans are fooling themselves if they think they're any better. I'd say that all things considered, the Lions and the Packers are about equal. With the Lions having lots more potential than the Packers. Make no mistake; potential is nothing. But even last year, with all our potential injured, we still came out on top of the Pack.
    Food for thought.

Two words: Matt Millen (I am trying to do some of the leg work for the Packer fans. With Mr. Pickles around, they are probably pretty tired of answering posts)

First off, thanks for coming out of the closet. I don't know why you think the Lions are any better than the Packers however. I see the Packers as the better team IMHO, with no homerism involved.

I don't even want to talk smack with you because I almost feel bad. I mean you could talk about 4-12 or Brett throwing INT's but there's nothing worse than having Matt Millen in charge and having your own fans wearing opposing teams jerseys.

I mean, we may have went 4-12 but we were there with our Favre jerseys on for 8 games supporting this team the whole time. Now I know why you were trying to hide it.

I actually don't mind the Lions because they usually stink. Same thing with the Bears. They have a good year every once in a while and the fans get all fired up only to see them slip back into mediocrity.

Who will win the division this year? Might as well draw sticks. Thats why it is funny to me to see Bears,Lions and Viking fans in here running smack. Do the fans of these teams think thier team is really capable of contending for a Super Bowl? It's a mediocre division at the present time. I would venture to say 9 wins will take it this year. I think 9 wins is a stretch for any of these teams.

Personally, I think the only team in the north that has a snowball's chance in Hell is the Bears.
But seriously, what did you expect? What fun would the season be if nobody talked any smack? That's what this forum is for... And come on; these are 3 of the oldest teams in professional football. There's always been a big rivalry. Talking smack is tradition. If some fans can't take it, then maybe you should change teams because being a Lions fan, I've heard nothing but smack for the last five years. I'm pretty much desensitized.
But the laughingstock status is all yours now. Enjoy.

uhhh...don't know where you've been for the last oh say 30 years but...the 70's & 80's were NOT good for the packers!!! we were owned by the freakin lions, bears, vikings, & just about anybody else we played. if there's any fans who know what it's like to be in the cellar, it's the longtime packer fans!! the young 'uns who only remember the last 15 years or so have NO IDEA how to handle what looks to possibly be a rough few seasons ahead.

as for me, i've basked in the glory of the favre years, enjoyed it thoroughly, & will make it to every game possible this season to watch him play. go pack!! :)

Now this is a good post. I admire your love for Favre... I admit he's been the best QB in the north for a good 15 years now and he was far better in his heyday than any QB that has ever played for the Lions. But he's as good as done. But hey... you got to enjoy the best QB in the league for 15 years!
And if you want to talk about a team that's constantly on the bottom, it's the Lions. At least the Pack has won a championship in the last 50 years!
So I don't know why you'd want to hate the Lions. If any team deserves to win, it's the Lions. And don't worry, the sun even shines on a dog's *** sometimes. The Lions will have their day. That day might not come for another 50 years, but it will come.
