I need prayers, or at least good thoughts put towards my dad

He is 86, and has been having issues last month..One is they found an aggressive cancer in his bladder, but it isnt bladder cancer..Still waiting on MAYO Clinic to give opinions.

Now it appears his right kidney has shut down..It was fine Saturday, late Tuesday is when they noticed it may have stopped....So what ever it is, seems to be moving fast...

We are hoping the left one is going to keep going.

But with him being 86, the aggressive cancer very likely, we need all the help we can get.

Also, my sister's husband is in real bad shape. Cancer of lung, spine, and pelvis. Doesnt look good at all...

On top of that we lost a cousin last week to cancer..

So my family is having a real hard time now, just keep us in good thoughts

    Thank you

My prayers are with your father and your sister's husband for sure. Very sorry to hear about your cousin too.

May they both have some improvement soon.

This is a lot on your plate. Talk it out anytime you need to.

I hope for some good news for your family soon.

thats so terrible, cancer is a terrible thing.
To get hit all at once like that too,.... since we can't discuss religous things, you can take comfort that one day soon all these diseases and even death itself will be done away with.
Until then pray for the strength to endure, and to be there for your family.

Our prayers are with you also. Put it in the hands of the Lord.
I sometimes think of invincible Vince who fell victim to cancer at 57.
Those who played for him hurt but he lived on in them.

MAYO Clinic now is stumped...They need more info..

They dont know what the tissue sample is the VA sent them

One good thing is that they were able to help his kidneys out by putting tubes into the kidneys..Which in turn helped his kidney functions...

Mayo clinic was still stumped so they got oncology involved (finally after begging for a few days) and they diagnosed him with bladder cancer that has spread to (and maybe past) the bladder wall.

Normally the bladder would come out and they would clean up anything they find..but his age and other health issues, that is not an option,

Chemo or radiation is next after a pet scan is done.

As far as my brother in law, they left cancer hospital in Houston to go back home in Missouri Monday...He is not doing good at all...Hospice is going to be waiting for him when they get home

So now the bladder cancer my dad has can not be operated on because of age mostly..

They can't do any radiation, or chemo right now, because of past radiation seeds still in place from 16 year old prostrate cancer.

Have to get info from the place that did the radiation seeds before they can move forward.

Even tho this cancer has spread at LEAST to the bladder wall which is not good at all, he has to wait for paper work...Crazy crap

Of course words cannot often express things during these difficult times but I am sure he will feel the love during his final months. If he is at peace with it, that is good news. When my grandmother passed and it was her time she was not fine with it. Some seem at peace with death, some do not and want to fight it more near the end. Besides, I don't believe death is the end either. There is a better place out there for us all....you will meet him again someday way down the road and he will watch over you and your family until that time.

I am very sorry to hear the news and these 6 months or so will likely be tough on you. We are here and feel free to express yourself at any time you want.
