That the Colts are throwing games at times. Between keeping Painter in at starter to horrible play calling they cannot win ONE LOUSY GAME. At home.

    This is pathetic.

I am getting disgusted. Next up? At NE and Baltimore. Baltimore might seriously kill Painter and Brady will put up maybe 80?

Who do they have except Painter? They tried Collins, and he got hurt.

Anyone else. Try anyone. Dig out Jim Sorgi. Start the third QB.

This team is tanking. I can feel it.......it's the same team who tanked the perfect season for kicks and giggles in front of their fans. Nothing shocks me anymore at all.

Oh I am kitten. But, I don't like to see a team do what I think they might be doing either......like the Colts. It is giving me a sick feeling in my stomach at times.

I hope they aren't doing that. It would be funny if they did do all that and Luck decided not to draft next year. I've been thinking since preseason that some teams might consider losing on purpose to try and get the first pick. I was talking about the Vikings mainly, but it isn't outside the realm of possibility for somebody to try and pull this. They'd have to get the whole team on board and with certain egos, it might be hard to near impossible to pull off. They'd have to convince the everyone to do it and all the while keep it under wraps. I wonder if the league would take action if they ever found out a team was intentionally throwing games to try and score the 1st round pick. This is a pretty big conspiracy theory, but certainly not impossible, just improbable.

I heard Luck is going into the draft this year.

I mean with the players it's not just about him. It's about the men at the top. Making poor decisions to keep certain players and cut others I have seen this season. Bad play calling. Stuff like that. The Colts cut one of their better CBs earlier this season for no reason. They are letting Painter keep his job.

    I may be just paranoid.

Any chance they might sack some coaches/ staff? This sounds like it's their bad, not the players. For the sake of entertaining paranoia, lets consider the coaches are intentionally making bad decisions and play calls so they lose the games, meanwhile the players are none the wiser. That might work, I have a real hard time believing they would ever convince a whole roster of football players to throw the games. With something like that, the least people know about it the better. They'd just better pray they don't lose their heads in the process. Ahhh... conspiracy theories. It's fun to play with, but to honest, I can't see them pulling it off. Too much could go wrong and too much is at risk. What if somebody leaks, even after the fact. ColtsGate? That would be epic.

I hope the entire coaching staff is shown the door at the end of the season. Nothing like running an ineffective defense into the ground as well as not being willing or able to make any in game adjustments. If teams want (need?) to figure out what they are going to do, they could watch tape from week 3. There have been zero changes made since then.

I don't see that there's any way they could convince the whole team to tank. Some of them, possibly, though I doubt it. And I know if a player like Jeff Saturday were to catch wind of it, it would end there.

I don't understand the reasoning behind sticking with Painter. It isn't like things would get worse with Orlovsky under center. I can't figure out if Blinky is a moron, or if he's just too stubborn to admit he's inept and screwed up sticking with Painter this long. I know this has to be killing players like 87, who is winding down his career and watching this complete debacle unfold.

And the worst thing is, we still have 5 more weeks to watch the NFL beat a dead horse.

Yeah I am probably just being paranoid over the tanking thing and all. It's a normal out burst by me after a Colts game now.

I haven't watched that many Colts games with Manning.
And I have not seen one game this year.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Peyton wasn't also throwing it to himself and on running plays being the lead blocker for running the ball either, was he?
I don't get it. I just don't how when one QB is out how the rest of the team can be this bad.
Painter is making first downs and throwing touch downs and the defense is making stops. Aren't they?

You are trying to make the assumption that they are an actual NFL team right now. No sadly they do not do those things most of the time.
I felt like the Colts tried hard maybe the first 4 or 5 weeks or so of the season and thats it.
You know what sucks? Sunday at the Pats. I may have to mute it so I don't hear the announcers. "Look at Brady and the Pats. In perfect playoff form. My how they are clicking. They look near unstoppable. Brady is fantastic."
A football team from the Perkins School for the Blind could look good against the Colts right now.
I will say this. Don't run it up Pats, not too much. It will bring you bad karma in the future....
Running it up too hard on the Colts is like kicking an old lady with a walker.

Honestly, I think Jim Irsay is that kind of owner, not putting Peyton on IR...probably just to sell tickets and keep the fans coming. On a sidenote, I kinda chuckle noticing that barely any colts fans call sirius NFL radio. Especially this one particular delusion-minded fan

If they IR Manning, he would be unable to even practice with the team, so they would be unable to evaluate his progress. There's no way he'll take a snap in a game this season.

I'm thinking they should hold a raffle to see which lucky fan can start each of the next 5 games either at QB or corner. Get the fans involved, who knows, the guy sitting in section 638, row 12, seat 9 could go out there and light things up. At worst, it would be a lateral move.

That's the part that is confusing to me as well. I know there were issues on the O line, and the running game was non-existant. The D had a tendency to "bend but not break", and was never that strong against the run either. It seems like when 18 strapped on the neckbrace, it took all the heart and pride from the team. I am not sure if that is the case, or if he was simply good enough to mask the flaws.

I know that the O is spending less time on the field, which is leaving the undersized D out there longer. On the O side of the ball, the Colts are 31st in ypg, 30th in total points, 25th in 3rd down conversions, and dead last in time of possession. D side, they are 29th in ypg, 32nd in ppg, 32nd in 3rd down conversions.

The longer this goes, the more I'm buying into the trade down from #1 and fill holes, obviously there are a ton of them. At the same time, can they afford to pass on Luck if he's sitting in the green room when the commish announces their pick?

Wow. Larry Coyer the DC was FIRED today.

And Orlovsky is replacing Painter at QB this weekend. I wish they benched Painter before the Panthers game. an Orlovsky is nothing special but he did out play Painter IMO in preseason.

Good for the Colts! This is what looks to be a step in the right direction. Now it's time to just start cleaning house. Just don't overdue it and let is cost you the 1st round pick and/or Luck! :)

In Orlovsky we trust. Whats scary is that he was on the 0-16 Lions team lmao.

Perhaps he has motivation though NOT to repeat history. At least I don't have to see Painter's God awful long blond hair on the field anymore. That guy was starting to irritate the crap out of me.

I think Dan will be very motivated to try to be the one to break the streak because he is most identified with the 0-16 Lions. Not sure motivated will equal effective, but I'm glad to see the change.

Painter is growing his hair out for Locks of Love, he's going to get it cut and donate it to children suffering from medical issues. Pat McAfee just did the same. Great organization, but not the best look on Painter.

I heard Painter is doing that but he still bugs me. I guess it's more as a player he bugs me. He is horrible. And he inspires nothing. Why would the team try with Painter? You know he will screw up anyway. And yes I want Caldwell GONE.

I also hope this greatly increases the chances the Colts DO NOT go 0-16. I would love to see them at least compete against a good team before the year is over again, like they did with the Steelers.

There are a bunch of people here in Baltimore that are being very quiet about the game in 2 weeks. They still remember the Dolphins getting their one and only win against the Ravens. Don't know if it will be that one or not, but I think they'll pull off at least one, possibly 2 wins this year. These moves may be the spark they needed to try something different, and maybe just maybe it will work.

With the way the Ravens play down to competition this season they should be worried. Not to mention, the Colts historically own them.

Of course I would take Baltimore to win but nothing shocks me with the Ravens.
