Zeus is really reaching........Davenport hasn't been on our team for several years now. But i guess when thats all you have, try to use it.

As far as showing emotion, theres nothing wrong with that. If someone picks on that, that shows no class. It would be as classless as making a smutty comment about someone's loved one. We don't allow that here of course, although i guess some places thats acceptable.

Of course that's not acceptable - I had quite a smackdown on one of the younger members of PPO last year when he directed something similar at my wife.

I guess when someone actually tries to DO something thats not "PC", to try to change the really awful things that are going on, it's "hate speech".
Bill Cosby gets slapped with that comment too.
I guess it's better to keep your head in the sand, and pretend everything is a-o-k- instead of actually trying to DO something about it. Thats why there are kids killing kids every day in this country. Lets just play "pretend", and everything will be alright.

I guess having an opinion different then some automatically is called "hate speach". Even though Reggie White said he didn't hate gays, just their sin. And he would have welcomed gay people as his friends. Just as Jesus did.
I have gay friends too. And they know how i feel about certain things. But i give them hugs when i see them, and they know i love them. Even if we don't see eye to eye on some things. Guess that means I'm a "hater", huh?
Heck......i even have friends that are (shudder)..........VIKING FANS!!! :shock: And i love THEM reguardless!!!

I disagree with this. I have known many gay people, and all of them (except one i don't know well enough yet, so i don't know his history) had things happen in their lives that changed them. One woman i know was raped repeatedly by her father. Two women i know were battered by their husbands. They got together, and now beat each other up. Another man i know was raped by his father. Another woman (a member of my family) was raped by her father. All of these were traumatized by things early in their childhoods, and the result was to turn to homosexuality.
Are there some that are "born that way?" Maybe so....i can't disprove that.....but that still doesn't make it right according to the Bible. If they act on their impulses, it's wrong. Maybe they can't change their desires, but they CAN control them and not act on them.
Sin is sin, and everyone sins. Just like lying, stealing, commiting adultry, it's all sin and wrong to do. To confront that sin and try to stop from doing it is the right thing to do, in all sin cases. Of course being perfect is not attainable. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, right?

Just wondering LT.......do you know for sure that nothing happened to them in their younger years?
Alot of people don't like to talk about what happened to them. Many are embarrassed about it, even though what happened to them was'nt their fault.
I have been lucky that these people felt loved and trusted me enough to share what happened to them.

Oh, i understand. Not all that are abused turn gay. It just messes alot of people up for life when that kind of thing happens to them. I just think sometimes it can factor into something that makes a person not trust the opposite sex for the rest of their lives. It affects each person in their own unique way.
Lots of sex offenders can be traced back to abuse when they were kids. Of course not all do that, but many do.

What a great thread. Simply stunning. No Adrian Peterson will probably never win a Nobel prize...however since were smack talking on good peoples personal defects, how bout your head coach getting those fish eyes fixed. Looks like he can see both endzones at the same time with those things.

I realize it's a smack talk forum but some of the people on this site are just ignorant.

Naw.......we arn't ignorant........we just haven't found anyone worthy enough to us to talk "smack" too.
