Honest question about Viking fans on this board

I gotta agree with Derps on that, that KFAN board was real bad for a while.. The Packers were represented by one "Milwaukees Best" who was just a complete moron.. I posted there for a while, but there could never be a good discussion with that guy, he isnt the type of fan you want representing your team on other boards, it was embarrasing..

Are you kidding? If anything, Minnesota Drivers are pissy about Wisconsin drivers on the border because you people eat up so many jobs in OUR state. Secondly I just couldn't believe what I read when I saw the comment regarding Minnesota Wisconsn education levels.

Lastly I have no time for arguing with Packer fans about championships...cause it's no contest. We come from a state with jobs and have a hell of alot more sports championships than the Jeffrey Dahmer state. I can see why you cling tightly to your Packers....cause without their 9 leather helmet wearing, 4 teams in the league championships...your state would have nothing.

By the way...I enjoy this banter...please don't reply with panties in a knot. I served in Irag with a unit from Wisconsin who were all Packer fans...and I would have taken a bullet for anyone of them. I love the Packrs and their history...I just don't understand Packer fans at times.

I was absolutely ready for Favre to be gone, long before he finally was. I've said it many times, and on this board more than once. Right after Favre won his first MVP, John Elway got a new contract, making Elway the highest paid player in the NFL. Favre immediately demanded a new contract (through the media, no less) saying "If I'm the best player, I should get paid the most money." I knew right then that he was a douche.

I personally was never in love with Favre. He lost more games singlehandedly than he ever won singlehandedly. The '96 SB team was so crazy-dominant that they would have won it all with any decent quarterback. In numerous other years, we had strong enough teams to have gone to another SB or 2, but those teams never got the chance, thanks to a whole lot of "season ending interceptions."

Favre is just an older version of Jay Cutler. "Million-dollar arm and a ten-cent head." He'll win you some games, alright, but he'll lose you just as many if not more; and the "big ones" are the ones he loses. I'm dead serious when I say that I hope he plays for the Queens 10 more years.

I agree with everything you said...but try explaining that to the other 95% of Packer fans who do not think like you...or better yet who changed theier kids names or had mock funerals.

I never wanted Favre on the Vikings....NEVER. I will not support him...I will not sell out. I know that 96 Packer defense won that superbowl....heck the MVP was Desmond Howard.

The point is Packer fans can talk all they want and vice versa about Favre being on the Vikings. The truth is Viking fans had nothing to do with his signing. Randy Moss was/is hated in Green Bay to this day. If he had become a Packer then there would have been Packer fans warming up to him who once hated him...just like Favre/Viking fans. You know this is true.

With my disapproval of Favre being a Viking I have learned to just support the name on the front of the jersey....not on the back. :good:

I'm glad you're a Vikes fan and not necessarily a Favre fan. Makes you more interesting to talk to, to say the least.

I've gotta say, if I was a Vikes fan when they acquired Favre, I would've been happy. No way you would've even made it to the NFCCG with TJax.
