Is this business as usual in the NFL or does it seem there are an unusually high number of veteran holdouts and contract disputes going on? Could this be a reflection on the coming negotiations between the NFLPA and the League?
There's always a few holdouts every season, so this is nothing new. I don't believe most of the current holdouts are doing so because of the uncapped year. The uncapped year impacted mostly free-agency, and that period was over a long time ago. Now holdouts are doing so mostly due to greed (Revis comes to mind.) It's par for the course for the NFL.
