I wonder how long it will take for Phil or Polar Grizz to come back here?
They were talking some mighty big smack of how their Bears were gonna beat the Colts.
Their "highlight" was the opening kickoff. Pretty much down hill from there. And it didn't even look like the Colts brought their "A" game!

Poor Phil.......he's gonna have to do something he's been avoiding ALL season.............he's gonna have to face the fact that the Bears STILL don't have a Quarterback! And their "great" defense looked something like i pour my noodles into after i cook them............

    This thread is uncalled for.

Any D, no matter how powerful and effective, will start to struggle when it has to stay on the field for such long periods of time.

The Bears gave it there all, and to be fair to Rex, he didn't have a terrible game. He didn't play great, but he played alright considering the terrible struggles Rex has had in the past.

The Bears made it a hell of a lot farther than the Packers, so they deserve respect. I won't go and call the Bears a terrible team because they aren't. They kept it close and gave themselves a chance to win until late in the 4th.

It was far from a rape, but hats off to the Bears for making it thus far and coming close to being the Best of the Best.

They may not be the best in the NFL, but they are the Best in the NFC and they deserve props.

Yeah but they had merit; they kicked our behind in the first game of the season.

Then they made it into the playoffs as top seed. Packers didn't really come close.

They were NFC champions, Packers weren't.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Phil and Polar Grizz are the best of the best in terms of Bears fans, but I think they should be proud of their team.

I do recall them getting on Brett during the stretch he was awful, and didn't look like completing a pass to a guy wide open 10 yards down the field. But then again it wasn't as if that was uncalled for.

They got drilled after the Bears lost to the Packers real bad. When they didn't have merit for their claims, they got hammered on these boards.

They do deserve to just deserts, but too a certain extent.

Re: Hey Phil...What's the number of the Chicago Police Dept.

Nice game plan they had there.
Can we call Lovie Smith the first black coach to lose a Super Bowl now?

I never said that Grossman was great. I said that he was the best that they had and that sucks big time.
Can the Bears get Matt Schaub?

I have no problem wihen the team that I have followed since I was 5 years old loses in the Super Bowl... unless they come out with their heads up their *** like tonight.
Bad play calling on offense, to soft on defense instead of going after Mr. Ed, Grossman playing like he was drunk.
A winnable game until the 4th quarter and he just pissed it away.

Still better than another crappy season and believing that Abe Lincoln will lead you to the Super Bowl in 2007. Enjoy the Bears lose and keep believing that the Packers are a good team.
Reality has never been a real strong point here anyway.
You have forgotten that you play the Bears twice, the Eagles, Saints, Giants, Chargers, Broncos, Cowboys, Chiefs, and Seahawks.
That is 10 games against real playoff teams not to mention the Falcons and Panthers.

    2007 predictions.
    Bears 11-5
    Packers 5-11

    Later.

Ok ok. I think Griese is better though.

It was a ****** game, but atleast it was exciting. Helluva KR Hester is man, damn!!

Re: Hey Phil...What's the number of the Chicago Police Dept.

Hester is great but that is not enough.
If Grossman just plays a decent game then they are hoisting the trophy tonight.
The time of possession was goddamn ridiculous and that is what killed them.
2nd and 1 and they call a pass?
    That was just stupid!
They were moving the ball on the ground and they just stopped doing it. Losing is one thing but they really played like s**t and that is not going to cut it.
    Not for me any way.
The Colts are not head and shoulders above the Bears or the game would have been out of reach at half time. They gave them every opportunity and still hung in there till the 4th quarter.

Oh well. Being close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.
Time to see if the Bulls can do anything in the playoffs.

I don't know what game you were watching last night..but the game I saw, the Bears were DOMINATED on both sides of the ball by the Colts last night.

If Payton Manning's thumb wasn't banged up and it wasn't pouring rain, the score would have been 50 to 17....but I won't play the woulda, coulda, shoulda game that you seem to be playing right now, and always accuse us Packer fans of.....

I will give you credit for showing up here and taking your lumps....so take them, instead of making excuses....

By the way..you never did give me the number of your police dept...

Hey allabout..........i'm actually agreeing with pack66 here. (Did i just say that?) You know me, i try to remain civil. But i took my share of lumps, (the nasty "cheezedicks" and "***********" stuff) and i just felt a little payback was due. Even when i gave the "attaboys" i sat here, (on Ryan's Packer site) and had to see all the "crybaby Favre" and attack of "Packer fans not facing reality" attacks from the Bears fans. Their team was undressed last night in the big game. I myself wouldn't have called it a "rape", but i WOULD say it was handed to them. The Colts made plenty of mistaked that had the bears been a really good team, they SHOULD have been able to bury the Colts. But they just plain couldn't. Payback is a.....you know what.

I agree, what goes around comes around. I don't see the Bears fans crying about coming to a rival site an getting the smack thrown their way, I don't see why we should worry about it. As long as it doesn't get personal of course.

Re: Hey Phil...What's the number of the Chicago Police Dept.

Thats what i'm saying Zero. And we STILL are listening to how great the Bears are from some. Fact is, they are good, but not good enough to win the big one.
We saw them come here to our home turf, and rip us all season long. Even when the Packers won their last 4 games, we heard how we did it against bad teams, or THEIR team had nothing to play for in the last game, thats the only reason we beat them. They didn't give us any congrats when the Pack beat them at Soldier field. All we heard was how the game was meaningless.
Take away Hester's opening kickoff return, and it shows just how much of a blowout it really was. Here they Bears were handed 7 points, got the ball back on an INT, SHOULD have smelled blood and went for the kill, and instead impolded.

Obviously after Phil's response, I stand corrected. Time to dish it out my fellow Packer backers:

Hey Phil, 5-11 prediction for the Packers? Weren't you the one who came on these forums last year to congratulate the Packers on their draft, all the while claiming the Bears draft was terrible and they'd receed to a below .500 team. I believe you said something along the lines of 'this is the way the bears work, they get content with one great season and then the bears become relaxed and struggle the next season'.

You sure were right about that Phil, your words of wisdom and ability to see in the future, the Packers should just resign themselves to the fact that they'll struggle next year. Why even bother drafting, or taking part in FA, because Phil has already told the future before anything of importance has occured in the offseason.

BTW Phil, I'd have thought the Bears would have learned from the past mistakes of the Packers and Pats with coach Holmgren and Coach Parcels that having a HC go into the Superbowl without another year on their contract doesn't bode well for continuity.

Re: Hey Phil...What's the number of the Chicago Police Dept.

And yet they are still better than the Packers.
You can bash the Bears defense all you want, they are not the ones who gave up over 360 points this year.

No. When did I say that?
You are just making **** up now.
I said that I wanted them to draft a TE instead of all defensive players.
I sure as hell never said that they were going to regress (not recede by the way) to a below .500 team and I never said that the Packers had a great draft either.
I said that Hawk was a good pick but the rest of their choices seemed questionable at best.

I said that the Bears would win the division while the Packers would not make the playoffs.
I was right for the 2nd year in a row on this forum.
I have made more than enough posts here to leave no doubt about how I felt about this.

You are going to dispute that?
