A love affair with Desean Jackson. I wouldnt have that cancer - overrated receiver on my team if he came free. Dream team -ha. You see how he contributed to that. Calvin Johnson was drafted second overall. Last I checked, the Packers win too many games to draft there. You see how he has helped the Lions with winning. They went 0-16 with him. It wasn't until they started drafting defense and linemen that they started to build a winner. Its about building a winning TEAM, not having one overpaid prima-donna receiver on it. Where are the Lions with Johnson? Where are the Cardinals with Fitzgerald? Who is the big name receiver on the Niners? Who is the big name receiver on the Patriots? The Ravens? Get a grip. IMO, Razor Chico or whatever you gloss yourself as, you dont have a clue.

Right, and you know what those teams all have in common? Not a single gooddamn playmaker beyond them. You take them out of the game and you shut that offense down.

Go back and see some of the performances these guys had this past season. Our unit, as a whole, is one of the best in the NFL. We didn't bring it this past Sunday, but it's not because our unit isn't top notch.

The Patriots? Really? Wes Welker.. And that tight end Gronkowski is having a monster year, as much as I don't like the pats you have to give those guys their kudos

Hey smart Giants fan...Wes Welker was UNDRAFTED!!!! Gronkowski was drafted in the 2nd round - same as Nelson. Again name me the highly drafted big name receiver on the Patriots that Chico Razor Ramon Draft Genius is referring to.

Hey helmet... Maybe you should wear yours more often. My response was to the comment asking to name a big play receiver on the patriots or ravens.. You don't get more big play than Welker. Who cares whether he was drafter.. Cruz wasn't either and he tore up the league this year with big plays.

Brandon Marshall and DeSean Jackson are elite? and better than Jennings/Nelson? That's nonsense.

Just a bit funny you are new here, you have 20 posts.

I think I may respect your opinion if you had posted it here in the past, and not just start posting after a big Packers loss.

The Packers set a franchise record for passing yards this season, why didn't you post during the season that the receivers suck? Our backup QB passed for nearly 500 yards in a game this year, why didn't you post that they sucked then?

So who on the Packers is making all these receptions?

Okay, who should the Packers not have drafted? Yes they could have drafted Hakeem Nicks and do you really support that? We drafted Clay Matthews 3 picks before Nicks, and I think we are much better off.

Nope all of these WRs have playmakers around them. The only thing these WRs are missing is Aaron Rodgers.

The original post, if you had read it, was about drafting an elite receiver. If you read Razor's 2nd and 3rd paragraphs, he talks about not drafting a receiver in the first round, and how the Packers have invested those picks in linemen and in their defense. That is the whole point behind this thread. Then you comment on my rebuttle about who cares where they were drafted. You don't, I don't, it doesn't matter to most anyone but to Razor Chico and his thread. He is basically saying that the Packers dont have an elite receiver as they have not drafted one in the first round.

Could have had Sidney Rice over Justin Harrell in 2007, great pick.

The point is, there's been an intentional avoidance of marquee receivers for years now. If you draft enough guys who are eligible to play pro, a few have to be at least somewhat good. It's basically a crapshoot. Rodgers can make unknowns look good. With an elite receiver on the squad, it would only improve the offense. But, they only invest in defense. Even the running backs, not well known. Just pick whoever, hope one turns out good, and TT is a genius.

I've noticed very few fans can admit this. Don't get mad because it's true.

I sincerely hope that no one takes serious vested interest in what RazorRamon has to say on this forum, he is clearly a troll with no intention other than to cause some verbal jousting. Anyone in their right minds can clearly see that the Packers receiving core is among the most elite in the NFL, their season proved that. Having an off day does not suddenly change that. After several more outstanding seasons ahead this nonsense will be put to rest.

Maybe if you got them a credible QB like Rodgers, they'd be able to do more. They're obviously more talented than the aggregate talent of the Packers receivers.

Turn overs loose games, dropped passes results in turn overs on downs. We did both. It happens on any given Sunday. We just won last years Super Bowl and we will win again. ITS WHAT WE DO.

TO had a pretty decent set of QBs. So did Randy Moss. Marvin Harrison won 1 with Peyton but that's it.

Yet I'm not even sure if Brady had a pro bowl WR when he won 3 rings.

And who is the best two WRs left in the playoffs? Welker and Cruz. Not 1st rd picks.

The 1st round is littered with great college WRs who never made an impact in the pros. The rate of bust is too high. While its easy to look at 1 bad pick by ted years later and ask why he didnt take the guy that became a big star, its a little harder at the time to just pick out the stud.

When DeSean Jackson becomes a free agent, and if he even offered to play for minimum NFL salary, Thompson would still pass up on him. They don't like players with swag in GB

Not sure. This is the same crap I hear from Colts fans when they fall short. "If only we had a Randy Moss.....some giant receiver to throw deep too."

Oh please. The Colts had the great Marvin Harrison for years in his prime and won no rings.

In 2006 when the Colts learned to play ugly playoff football in Baltimore and in a rain storm in Miami for the SB they became Champs. Not because of the receivers or HOF QB but because they played tough physical D and ran the ball like bad asses.

I was delusional again this year but this often happens. The Packers need to get tougher again. Better D and better run game. The QB and passing game is more then enough already.

Winning pretty is fine and all. But, you also have to win ugly at times too and often in the playoffs.

If there weren't so many dropped passes, pack would have won. The current receivers are very hit or miss, literally.

    Not consistently dangerous.

This delusion among many here that the Packherd have the best receivers makes Alice in Wonderland look realistic.

Brandon Marshall and D Jackson have some of the highest drop % in the league, so you want us to go after players like that?
