For all you who told me "best receivers in the league" everytime. I think it's obvious I've been right trying to address the receiving situation. The Packers haven't had a big-name receiver since Andre Rison in 1997. TT intentionally avoids good receivers to fit the Packers "workhorse mentality", i.e. no one should stand out.

Years of drafting low-end receivers, this was expected. I don't think DeSean Jackson, Calvin Johnson, or Brandon Marshall would do this. The Packers receivers are simply not known to be dangerous.

Get mad, yell, ban me, Whatever. I've been saying it for years. Draft a MARQUEE receiver. It won't happen. They'll draft another lineman, non-skill position. It's clockwork TT.

To those of you who say the defense is the problem...then there is no hope. They've almost exclusively invested in defense over the first round picks...including drafting Raji and Matthews in 2009.

Could have had Hakeem Nicks that year.

packers need sticky gloves, feel bad for rodgers, he throws such great spirals and still dropped.

Some are blaming the cold temps and the ball being harder to handle.
I don't buy into that because the Giants did just fine with the ball handling.
The Packers weren't ready and the Giants were.
I think we are just fine with the receivers we got.
We don't need a big name. We just need the guys we got to catch.
For some reason they just had a real bad case of the dropsies that night.

All season long we had the best receiving corps and now, after one bad game, suddenly they're the worst in the league. Wow, I hope you NEVER have a bad day at work..

    Go away, troll.

Always the best, typical packer form. It's some counterbalance I've noticed to any criticism. And you wonder why Packer fans are perceived a certain way.

Rodgers is a good QB, the receivers aren't as elite as could be. Cry about that if you want.

Again, you wouldn't see that from a receiving corps of big name receivers.

    I dunno.
A death in the family can do things to people, ya know?
    Make them lose their concentration.

I disagree that the receivers are the problem.
They did great all season long.

You mean the same receivers that won the Super Bowl last season?

And which team do you root for? Or are you to chicken sh*t to admit it publicly for fear of ridicule when we correctly point out our receivers blow yours out of the water?

I for one NEVER thought we had the best WRs in the league.

    Good depth? Yes.
Inconsistent? Yes. You see how they caught some ridiculous one game, and next game they drop simple ones.

I think what's misunderstood, Rodgers is such an exceptionally talented QB - that ANY professional receiver should be able to catch his passes. Besides Brady, it's rare to see such an accurate consistent spiral (very unlike Rhett Favre). In other words, he can make average receivers look good, even if they aren't that talented themselves. With Driver getting old, Jones being nothing special, Nelson and Jennings are both above average (although neither seen as particularly dangerous like DeSean Jackson or Calvin Johnson), Cobb does have potential, yet it is still time to go for a marquee receiver or two.

The bizarre thing, most pack fans think the receivers are so good, that there is no room for improvement.

Well now I didn't say we needed new ones. I just said they aren't the best group. Cobb will add a lot to the group with his speed, Jennings runs great routes, believe it or not I think Jones has good hands, and Jordy is physical. Then you got Gurley who was given a raise which tells you something.

If TT wastes a pick on a WR when defense is a far bigger need, I'll piss my pants..

I would trade depth at WR for a Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald.

I would give up 2 to 3 of our WRs for anyone of those guys.

So would Rodgers, although I doubt he would say that in public. You can see the anger in his eyes when his receivers drop perfect spirals that anyone should be able to catch.

Brett Swain was a backup who did well in the Super bowl, not considered good, but was able to catch the ball when it mattered. Rodgers can make anyone look good. Imagine if the pack had one of those guys. It won't happen.

Ive always hated the tag of best receivers in the league... I always hated that ARod wouldnt get full credit and his success was due to his receivers... Dont get me wrong we have some good receivers... but none of them are first round stand out pics or big name free agents...

I haven't paid much attention to details for the pack all year, but reading here I get the impression that the drops were an issue all season

Rodgers threw a few balls behind receivers and a few way too hard for the situation Sunday. All the blame can't be on the receivers.

The team as a whole was off on Sunday. Trying to blame any one single person or group for the loss is just retarded. Instead of trying to point fingers, how about everyone take a step back for a bit and get ready for next year's Super Bowl run?
