Has there ever?

Has there ever been a year in the NFL Draft where no team took a QB in the 1st round, I only because I found out no kicker was taken throughout the whole 2010 draft haha

Modern era, I don't think so. I believe also that 2008 was the only year nobody took a WR 1st round.

Starting at the merger for QB's, 1974, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1996.
For WR, 1990, 2008.

Now normally you can get a kicker right at the end. why did he take 1 with the 17th pick of the draft?
