Chance at an "old school" SB (Steelers/Bears) is out the window...

At least we got #5 pick in the draft. Im willing to bet it will be better than cedric benson. How is he doin?

ps - i got the 'at least we got a better draft pick' line from bears fans...every year when GB would lose in the playoffs..so its funny to me

Phil.......i've been waiting to say this.........ONE AND DONE!!!!LOLOLOL!!!

Now, that being said............i was SHOCKED how the Bears defense was torn to shreads by Carolina. Also, i was surprised Chicago could put up that many points.
But it still boils down to.......the Bears will be watching the Super Bowl on TV, same as the Packers will. All the bragging on how the Bears defense was as good as the 1985 team.......wow, were THEY ever wrong!
Oh......and like was previously said..........we kept the bench warm for you guys next season!LOLOL!!!

What a coincidence, the Packers were pretty much done after just one game this year too.
By the way, I have never compared this defense to the 85 defense. This team is better than 2001 but not good enough yet. Still better than dreaming about the draft in October though.

Find a quote where I said that this defense was better than the 1985 team.
Come on man. I don't care how many points they gave up this year. The 85 team was far superior in every way.

Phil.......i personally don't know if you did compare them to the 85 defense or not. I meant all the people on TV, and in the papers were making the comparison. I kept hearing it, and they WERE good. Like i said, i was shocked to see them torn apart like that. I think alot of teams will be watching that game film to see how it's done.

Phil...I gotta say honestly... I knew Da Bears were DONE when they got behind 7-0. It was over at that point, great defense or not. The great defense didn't rise to the occassion enough to give the offense time to mount a comeback. Uhrlacher is still one helluva player tho', I gotta hand it to ya...

We all know Da Bears can show everyone how their golf game is... ours is lousy... :twitch:
