Just got this game today, and I've played for 2 hours. No I haven't killed any hookers. I've only beat up a few guys in the street, cause Niko is badass.

GBP.......there are LOTS of kids that don't have any guidence from adults. They LIVE their video games, cell phones, and so on. You seem to have a level head, and can tell whats right and wrong. Many kids don't have that ability in them, cause they never get taught by responsible adults. They are left to "fend on their own", and they arn't mature enough to handle it.
Thus, they get bombarded by sex and violence, and they think thats "normal" and "acceptable" behaviour. They see women as "bitches" and "ho's", and the Police as their enemy.
These kinds of "games" just give them more reason to think that way.
    Just my opinion of course.

    Your NOT stupid!
I was raised in a home by loving parents that taught me right from wrong, and respect for the cops and other authority figures. I wouldn't have thought of people being without that guidence when i was younger either.
But i have seen SO many young people today, who don't have the luxery of a solid foundation that i had growing up.
I have had a hand in helping quite a few young people in my life, to show them the good side, and how they should act. They were not getting that guidence from home.
If a kid isn't grounded in a solid home, they turn to other things to make up for it. Whether it's joining a gang, or doing drugs and having sex with anyone that will do it with them, they don't know any better.
So they see this "glamorus" lifestyle in these games, or from people they put on a pedastal, such as rappers. They arn't there when one of these guys gets gunned down for REAL. They don't see the REAL misery that happens, only the "good" stuff. The money, fame, and so on.
Whats GOOD about stealing cars, or gunning down people you don't like, or are just in your way?
The line between reality and fantasy becomes even more blurred if you don't have a solid foundation to compare it to.

    multiplayer is pretty fun.

I've only done like 3 single player missions, I do my damage online killing kids who shouldn't even own the game.

the best is when I get grenades, I hop in a car, engage someone in a chase, and when they chase me, i drop nades out my window, and they drive right into it.

    I'm not stopping them!
Just giving my opinion. Making them use their "grey matter".
They don't have to listen to me. (Most people don't anyway)

    So...
we have a PS2 and it was my son's birthday. I had to tell him no (for like the 5th time) about GTA, but I got him Jackass instead. I just hope he doesn't try any of the stunts in that Jackass game. Those guys are crazy.
