Actually, no, I'm not trying to pick a fight. Hence the apology, which you conveniently glossed over. Keeping in the nature of the board, aren't apologies civil? And if "hysterical" or calling a comment "ignorant" is your idea of trying to start a fight, I think you need thicker skin, because there is very little malice in either of those, especially "hyseterical". And as far as the term "ignorant", it means uninformed, which is what I still consider your statement to be.

Anyways, I never said he is Marvin Harrison. I said that they are both number WR1s for special QBs who aren't 6'6" and run a 4.3. And yeah, I'm sure Finley would like to be called a WR,, and do you know why? When the Packers decide to Franchise him after the season, there is alot more money when you take the average of the top 5 salaries of WRs than the top 5 salaries of TEs. I don't think it's for ego puposes and I'm sure the amount of times he's lined up outside will be his bargaining chip. So, just because he wants to be known as a WR, doesn't make him one. He's not fast enough to run the routes Jennings does and that's not really up for discussion. The only reason he is able to catch deep passes is because he had Jennings to draw the coverage from safeties.

As far as your call that the loss of Finley wasn't great, I don't think you were correct. Did the team lose every game because of losing him? Of course not, just like they won't lose every game because they lost Jennings. LIKE I SAID, I AGREE WE ARE DEEP AT WR. That being said, would you also not agree that our offense has been MORE efficient with Finley in the line up this year than it was last year? Not to mention, the team had the whole season to adjust to the loss of Finley last year, whereas they will have 4 weeks before theire first playoff game to fill Jennings role, if he's out an extended period of time. I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over, so I'm done with this discussion.

Please be mindful of the Forum's policy on personal attacks. We are all adults here and I have complete confidence we can all hold a civil discussion even in the event of a difference of opinion. If you have a problem with another forum member, please take that conversation to PM and keep it off the forum.

I'm sorry if it seems like I was personally attacking someone, but I am very mindful in not calling anyone names. I tried to focus on his comments. I will stop my part in this discussion, because I don't want a moderator to have to take their time refereeing a thread. That's a waste of someones time and I don't want to be one of the reasons for it. So, I'll say it again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but there was no malice in my comments. This will be my last post in this thread.

It wasn't just you, we all have to be mindful of it. I simply wanted to address the situation before it went any further. Thank you for taking the time to write that response.

You're asking me questions but done with this discussion? Not sure what to make of that.

Last year we had the topic and discussion that the offense was actually better without Finley. Basically to sum it up the numbers showed it but some posters didn't like the sample size of games. But the offense did get better from a numbers perspective.

Finley wouldn't be making the argument if it didn't have merit.

Not needing thicker skin but trying to merely avoid drama on the forum. Some people avoid forums because of posts and responses that are in a negative tone. No need for an apology, never asked for one. Just would like to see a more friendly tone on the forum. We (mostly) are packer fans, not steeler fans.
