Just switched from an iphone to an Android and was wondering if anyone knows any good apps on the Android platform that can't be found on the iphone.

I've liked this so far (friend recommended):

    Any suggestions out there?

    Any website that uses flash.

Most of apss that are worth anything are Google Apps and are free. I think even these are now available on the iphone as well.

Google Maps/Navigation & Street View is really awesome for a free app

Probably not much that hasnt been done already and then repeated on android. I am sure apple still has 5000 fart apps compared to androids 2500 fart apps. So of course apple is still the big winner.

The best thing you can do now is what you want to do, instead of apple telling you what you want to do and have no choice but to obey.

Have you rooted yet? If yes, then Tasker, ROM Toolkit Pro, and Cerberus (disguised zip).

I am still not sold on rooting my phone. It opens up more security holes in the OS and some phones respond to it better than others. Motorolla is one that dreams of being apple where they tell the user what to believe including that they are not thier bitch. My DROID X has issues when rooted. My next android phone will be from HTC or Samsung. Who knows? It could be a windows phone again!

Google sky map is the most amazing one I have found.

    Flashlights are useful also.

If you have the Amazon App Store on your Android phone today's free app of the day is Moon Phase Pro.

This app is normally $.99 and can show the current phase of the moon of your location using Live Wallpapers.

So what is cool about this app?

You can change the high resolution image of the moon that rotates in your live wallpapaer to appear as CHEESE! :D

    GO PACK GO!

I too am interested in seeing what others have for Android Apps.

My most useful apps I downloaded from Google Play are:

    1. Soundhound
    2. Dr Web Light
    3. Gas Buddy

I'm still looking for a killer app for

    Exercise/Fitness
E-reader Which can read the most e-book formats
    Browser
    Utility/Resource Management App
    Cool and or Useful Widgets
