10 years after the BS Tuck rule and the Rams robbery.

    We have been cleansed.

The league can now return to normal. The Pats have been taken care of.

Montana can stay as the best QB with 4 rings as he deserves.

    Up now.....the SB loser curse.

    I am so happy. Justice.

Does Montana have 4, or did Young get one of them?

    Montana has 4.

And he was better then Brady. I don't want to hear any of the debate either. Montana won 4 SBs with no picks in all 4 I think.

I also still think Kraft way over did the Myra thing. You realize a painting of her was in their locker room. Yeah thats a nice thing to see after you lose.

Montana won 4 Super Bowls, the 5th one was Young's only 1. He would have probably got 2 rings had it not been for us beating the crap out of them.

Yes everyone can rest now, the 2001 Rams team is resting in peace..Kurt Warner was smiling, you can tell he wanted the Giants to win, and is still very bitter at getting screwed in 2001.

It started with the BS tuck rule, didn't think you could complete a pass holding the ball with both hands.

It carried on in their first Super Bowl. Go watch the tape of all the non calls they got away with for face masking Kurt Warner, holding Marshall Faulk the entire game, and the intentional grounding no calls when Brady just threw out of bounds when no one was open. When Spy gate came up and there was claims that it was involved with this Super Bowl, people forget the refs admitted they "went easy" on the Patriots, and Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk both have said for years that there were many non-calls in that game.

    2003 AFC Championship against Colts
Remember the "Ty Law rule"? It's OK for Ty Law to hold the WR and throw him off route and push him down before he catches the ball. But lord help anyone other shut down CB from the past if they did that in today's league. Surely the Colts probably would have lost anyway, but some of that was just ridiculous watching.

2007 - Spygate with the Jets, BIG uproar that looked like the Sopranos "You think you can do this to me!?" and of course, turned into something bad. Who in the hell wants to pull for an undefeated team in the Super Bowl, let alone one that got caught doing something wrong?

2008 - Brady blows his knee out, and the NFL makes a rule that you cannot hit quarterbacks in the legs. Now, I know we're a little over protective of quarterbacks since he came into the league, but ask yourself why the NFL did not give a crap when Joe Thiesman broke his leg, and never played again, or when Steve Young would take vicious hits to the legs for running, why didn't they change that rule back then? Guess those two guys were not important enough....Not to mention other guys that took horrible injuries and were forced to retire, like Joe Montana and Troy Aikman. The excuse for all of them was "They need a better O-line" but not for Brady!

2011 - Reaching the Super Bowl with the 31st ranked defense in the league, getting bad calls from the refs just like everyone else that plays NE has for the last decade, getting non calls for face mask, helmet to helmet hits, and holding (Just like the Rams got done to them a decade ago) oh and the most priceless thing ever, losing to a team that couldn't even win 10 games this year. PRICELESS.

That was possibly the largest Anti-New England crowd I have ever seen. They actually cheered Curtis Martin, (but remember he did play for the Jets) but that entire game, the crowd was totally on the Giants side. You would think that was a road game, the crowd was pretty much 75% Giants fans and 25% Pats fans.

I just don't see New England recovering this time. They are going to be hung over on this for a long time.

And let's be honest here, Brady has not been the same since he blew his knee in 2008. Sure you can argue the 2010 season, but look how far they made it in the playoffs. There was a really long article in a Boston Sports forum that someone wrote about how Brady is not the same QB he used to be, and I wish I had saved it cause I totally agree. According to the writer "It's like he's nervous out there that he's going to be under Montana, or not considered the greatest of all time, and he over thinks it and gives a poor performance trying to do too much" and that I have to agree with. Tonight, that pick he threw, he was trying to do too much. Of course there were a lot of dropped passes, but he wasn't playing like himself. he was trying to do too much, rolling out the pocket, over reacting to pressure....

Is that the painting that the players presented to Kraft recently? Perhaps they wanted it there.

I just don't know how anyone could pull for the Patriots. And pulling for them just because the Giants beat the Packers is like being a really sore loser about it. The Giants were NFC, and if you love an NFC team, you should pull for the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Pulling for the Pats is like pulling for the Dallas Cowboys back when they won 3 Super Bowls, or pulling for the Niners back when they were a dynasty, or better yet all the band wagon Steeler fans. Dallas hasn't won a Super Bowl in forever and I still hate them. There is no way in hell I would pull for a team that won 3 Super Bowls, to get over the hump and win 4, especially with how much bad stuff they get away with (tuck rule, refs, spy gate). it's just way too hard for me to like the Patriots, unless I was born there and they are the closest team to me.

I Hate Dallas too, Hate is probably not a strong enough word. You should be happy Bogart, you don't like in Texas. The Dallas Fans are delusional, Always talking about the Cowboys every 5 mins. And there are alot of Bandwagons here too, A lot of Romo Band wagons. The Pats were the lesser of two evils, I don't think any Packer fan would want to hear Brady being compared to Starr...That said I can't stand Eli Manning for some reason, maybe because he is a Manning, other than that I think the Giants have a decent squad.

Well, I pull for them a bit (nothing like the way I pull for Green Bay, of course); happy to explain why.

My best friend is a Pats fan so I often hear their side of the story while everyone else is saturated with negatives about them. I pulled for them over the Giants not because the Giants beat us in the playoffs - part of the reason I pulled for them is because the Giants are yappy, cocky, and obnoxious - both pre and post-game...and I hate that. Whatever you think of Bill Belichick, he doesn't allow his team to talk trash.

Spygate: My understanding of what happened there is that the NFL rulebook and a memo sent out by the NFL had guidelines that were in conflict with one another regarding where in a stadium a team could capture video from. Belichick followed the letter of the law from the rulebook and ignored the memo. It was, I think, a very stupid hill to die on - because I doubt they got much out of it except a terrible reputation that the team will never likely be able to repair. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. But not what people think it was.

The Tuck Rule was not something they created. Guess I could see blaming the referees for resurrecting it, the NFL for creating it, or something - I don't really get how that's their fault.

Officiating...well, people say the same thing about us, if what you mean is that people perceive the calls going their way. I see it all the time. I don't know what we could do about that, and I don't know what they could do either.

I can't hate them for their success. I hated the Cowboys because they were cocky and flamboyant, I wasn't crazy about the Niners because their fans were whiney...but these guys, I don't know. They don't yap, they put their heads down and do the work, their quarterback is a good guy as far as I know, and their owner is one of the better ones in the NFL. Their coach seems to like to push the envelope on occasion, but he's hardly the only one who does that - and he always talks about other teams respectfully in his pressers, and I appreciate that.

In a league with Michael Vicks in it, I don't really get how people can't at least be neutral about the decent guys. I have as much trouble understanding the hate for the Patriots as others do understanding how I can pull for them when they're up against a group of guys who behave the way some of the Giants did this season.

I'm glad to hear your reasoning though - honestly, I am - because I see how universally the Patriots seem to be hated and I sincerely want to understand it.

The nice thing about the Austin area is everyone here is Longhorn fans! LOL I kinda pull for them since they're local. But I'm not hardcore about it.
