Before the opener, I caught some flack for saying that although Finley is a special player, I would not be surprised if Jimmy Graham turned out to be the better tight end. I am not claiming that Graham is better than Finley at this point, but to illustrate that my earlier statment was not the product of blind homerism as a couple folks claimed:

    Graham:
    Rec. Yards Long Avg. TD
    24 367 59 15.3 3

    Finley:
    18 234 39 13 3

I realize it's a small sample size, but it will be interesting to watch these two promising young players as their careers progress.

BTW, I hope Finley lights up the stats like a pinball mahine next week against the Falcons.

Both are excellent tight ends in their own right. We spend far more time getting lost in stats and comparisons and lose sight of the unique talent and gifts a player has to offer.

I'm going to follow your lead and not be a homer and not say Finley is the better TE at this point. Only time will tell that and this little thing called winning the Superbowl.

Good luck to Graham for you guys! Hope he has a good year, I even tried getting him for my Fantasy team but he was taken.

I agree Kitten, there are too many variables to look just at stats (especially when they are close) and declare one player better than the other. I think right now Finley is the more complete receiver. That may always be the case. I think Graham may be the better blocker. In any case they are both great assetts and a lot of fun to watch.

Sproles makes everybody in New Orleans say "Reggie who?"

I wanted Sproles in my Fantasy in the worst way.

Graham is now at three 100 yard games in a row.

I don't think it is too much to ask for Mr. Stylez to apologize for calling me a homer for comparing him to Finley. An apology thread would be nice.

I feel like a genius for snagging Graham in the 13th round of my fantasy draft.

Jimmy Graham is having a ridiculous season

We know Saints tight end Jimmy Graham has received some attention for his big start to the year, but we’re not sure people realize just how ridiculously good Graham has been.
The record at the tight end position for yards in a season is 1,280 by Kellen Winslow (Sr.). Graham is on pace for 1,648 yards. Only two wide receivers have more yards than Graham this year
