    Michael Jordan
    6 rings
    5 MVPs
    10 time scoring champ
    9 time all defensive team
Yet some dork right here on this forum said that he was just a ball hog who did not care if his team won or lost.

That is because he was not Brett Favre. There are way too many people here who think that Brett Favre is the greatest athlete, hell the greatest human being of all time when that is far from the truth.

Okay Phil if Jordan only won ONE ring, would he or could he still be considered ( by most peopel) the best b-baller ever?

or would he just be a very good hof player?

Manning is not as good because he has a MVP, will have the numbers, but does not have a ring yet.
Brady is not as good even with 3 rings because he does not have the MVPs or the numbers.
Marino is not as good because he has the numbers but only 1 MVP and never won a ring.
Montana is not as good because he does have the rings but does not have the numbers and only 1 MVP.
Elway is not as good even though he has both the numbers and the rings but no MVPs.

Your criteria for what rates as the greatest QB seems to change depending on whom you are comparing to Favre.
Whatever stats that make Favre come out on top is what you guys go by for that moment and it will change with the next comparison.

If Manning gets a ring next week then what will be the excuse?
Will you down grade him because he has won "only" 1 MVP award?

i think you are hating on favre because the bears have never had a qb that can compare with favre. some bears fans where compareing grossman to favre. :rotflmao:

i dont know how you can deny the fact that favre is one of the best qbs(top 3) in the histroy of the nfl. pretty soon he will be the best qb of all time(when he breaks the records).

Of COURSE they are hating on Favre! He has kicked them around for years!
If he was a Chicago Bear, they would be singing his praises!

That Favre.....he....he...he's the GREATEST, uh, well......you know he can throw a football farther then Joe Montana sitting on top of Joe Namath's shoulders, WITH the wind!!!

John Elway is the greatest QB of all time.
It did not matter that Marino had more yards and TDs just like it will not matter that Favre has more either.
Your whole argument that Favre was better than Marino has always been that Favre won a ring and Marino did not. That was when it looked like Favre would not catch Marino's numbers.
Now it is because Favre may pass Marino's records.

Pete Rose finished with the most hits but he was not the greatest hitter.
Emmett Smith finished with more yards than Walter Payton, Jim Brown and Barry Sanders but he was not the greatest RB.

Anyone that compared Grossman with Favre was talking about their style of play which can drive you crazy at times.
If the Bears win next week Grossman will have just as many rings as Favre and he has a chance of getting another one before he is done.
Favre will never have more than he has right now even if he plays another year.
I know just how much that burns your asses because that was your measuring stick for the Favre vs. Manning debate.
Right now Packer fans are pissed because they have to choose between rooting for the Bears or wanting Peyton Manning to get a ring.
    I love it.

No.......here it's WHITE bread. Preferably WONDER bread!
(We knew how to slice bread LONG ago!)
It could be dark rye bread, whole wheat bread, marble rye bread, raisen bread, light rye bread, and WE knew how to slice it!!!
(Man.......i sounded like "Bubba" and his shrimp from "Forrest Gump!")
    LOLOLOL!!! :rotflmao:
