Looks like the Favre era has come to an end.

Chris Mortenson on Mike and Mike now, saying his sources have confirmed he's retiring. No press conference set up, told McCarthy last night, not sure when Favre will talk.

But it had to come, A. Rogers now has his chance and I think with the team that has been put around him, The Packers will keep winning.

Just too sad, I really thoght there would be one more year.

What a great career Brett. Amazing and just awesome. I'm glad I got to see him play too once.

Aaron Rodgers now gets his chance. I hope he can come in and produce.

I was going to go to Lambeau this year too, to see Brett. I've seen him at Soldier Field, but that's not the same. Sucks for me.

I am hearbroken I didn't spend the money to go to the Seahawks game.

man....i really thought he was going to have one more go around....when he just ran off the field....i honestly thought it meant it was almost he had already decided to come back....**** this ******* sucks....Brett deserves it though...

It's in the Biloxi Sun Herald too (which is how he normally reports that he's either coming back or retiring).

Just like him to do this when everyone was so sure he was coming back.

I'm actually somewhat happy I spent all that $ to go to the NFC Championship. I saw Brett's last game as a pro (assuming he doesn't change his mind that is).
