The only record Manning probably won't break is Farp's consecutive game streak seeing Manning is on the wrong side of 35 already. He's already won more league MVPs than #4 did. So unless you have a crystal ball there is no way in hell you can be certain Favre's other records will not be broken by Manning or someone else down the line.

He asked for his release after retiring twice--The Jets gave it to him. He just delayed his arrival in Minny by a year. Pretty obvious he thought the Yikes gave him a better chance for another Championship. What do you call someone who changes sides because of a better chance of winning?? I don't think it would be someone who you would like to share a foxhole with, as Favre described himself in his introductory Yikes presser. It would be the opposite.

Great point. Nobody cares about the professional football Championships pre-NFL(1892-1919), just as nobody cares about pre-NCAA Championships.
