Alge Crumpler will draw some attention on the open market.. interesting the cut ties with him.. Rod Coleman is a little bit of a surprise too..

lots of big names. that's what happens when players sign back-loaded contracts with huge signing bonuses.

Surprised to see them let go of Crumpler, he has been their most consistent receiver for the past few years, although White stepped up his game last season.

The market for Crumpler will be big, give him a QB that can get him the ball and he'll be back to pro bowl level.

I'd take Crumpler in a cocaine heartbeat!!!

And Mike Boley is a RFA or FA this season, I'd like him.

Neither is likely to come here, though. I refuse to get my hopes up for anyone after last years free agency doldrums...

Alge Crumpler

Crumpler > Franks.

Cut Bubba, sign Crumpler.

He can block, catch, and wants to play for a winner....

Still relatively young, too.

While I don't see it happening, Lee + Crumpler = wow.

What a nightmare of defenses!!

Ohhh baby. I would like to see Alge on the pack. That would be sweet.

1. Alge seems like a competitor.
2. He would likely enjoy GBs offense, since they use their TEs a lot.
3. Playoff contender
4. Brett Favre(maybe. Did he decide yet?)

With that said, Lee had a very good year, and Bubba had a great rebound year, but had that injury that screwed things up.

With Donald Lee just signing an extension this past season, and Bubba's contract, I really can't see TT going after Alge, it'd be too much money to tie up in one position

yeah, and i don't think they'd ever keep 12 DTs on the roster either. That's 23% of the entire roster on one position!

Re: Alge Crumpler

Of course any "Good Player" would be of course - good for the Pack. But the money to sign him will be to high for a split TE. Lee had a good year and expect him to have another.

That's the thing. Bubba's injury might make Crumpler even more attractive.

Donald Lee + Crumpler = Packers being top tier in the Red Zone. Remember the days when Favre used to regularly throw 30+ TD passes? Well, those days can happen again with 2 solid TEs.

One question though. How come Crumpler played only 14 games last year? How are his knees? He may be tapering off.

Crumpler might be a solid fit for the Packers, but only if he comes at the right price. I don't think he wants the be depth behind Lee and Franks. One of them would have to go.
