This author has no credibilty --

Just a couple of his quotes:

Maybe it's my Minnesota roots clouding my judgment, but the amount of time and energy devoted to covering the recent outburst by the legendary No. 4 is about 50 times what is necessary for a player of his caliber.

As a Vikings fan, I snicker when I listen to people on Wisconsin sports radio shows debate whether acquiring another receiver would have put the Packers over the hump. I love it when the newspapers cover Favre's frustration with GM Ted Thompson's inability to make a deal for a receiver.

The thing that the Vikings want most would be for Favre to retire. At least this Viking fan is admitting that he has a problem. That is the first step.

The writer could have found some better examples than...

Go ahead, sputter out some sentiment about how Favre has no receivers to throw to, but before you do, name two receivers from last year's Houston Texans. And please don't try to argue that Buffalo had one of the league's most feared running games.

Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds is nothing to sniff at, and was Willis McGahee not one of the better backs? As you were.

I don't care who you are or what sport your in, most fans love to see the stars go out at the top of their game.

It is said to see athletes try and extend their careers, only to see them be half the player they once were.

Half of Brett is still more then most teams (Vikings included) have. So of COURSE you and alot of fans of the Vikings, Bears, and Lions want him to retire.
Cause he's "DONE" kicked those teams butts every year!
And yes, i don't want Brett to go out a "has been". Truth is, he's still better then alot of the QB's in football today. So why should he walk away, when he showed he still can zip the ball in there? He can find Driver, and allow Driver to run away from Sharper. Oh......NOW i see why you are in such a hurry to have him retire!

I like to stir the pot once and awhile.

Where would you cheap beer swilling, cheese eaters be if there were nothing but Packer Fans here.
You guys need 4thand26, Philtration, big3, yours truly, and a few others just to stimulate your questionable fan lifestyle!

G_B_P, you need to learn to talk smack!
Observe some of the older cheesheads, even though their attempts may be feeble, they do try!

I can't think of any NFCN rival team fan that wants Favre to retire. His skills are declining every year that he comes back. His salary eats up 10% of the entire Packer Cap. His presence prevents the Packers from developing their next qb. (althought the opposite could be argued-his presence prevents the long list of laughable replacement qb's from hitting the field) His record over the past 3 years is sub .500. The vast majority of my Packer friends are so sick of all the drama, that he can only tarnish his reputation by staying and having all the controversy.

As representative fan from the 2006 Defending NFC Championship Bears, I firmly vote for Mr. Favre to stay.

    Me..........I'd still be here!!!LOLOL!!! :rotflmao:
I kind of feel like "Obi-won kinobe" (sp) from Star Wars, trying to teach young Luke Skywalker (G_B_P) how to properly talk "smack" with Viking (and other) fans. He is young....he will learn!
To me the best "smack" is the stuff thats fun at the same time as being biting.
I may be feeble.........then again, maybe i'm not!

Thats one of my favorites too!
After all.......even John Randle knew the ONLY way he would ever catch #4 is in his dreams (or if he put a jersey on a chicken!)
By the way..........where IS Mr. Randle right now? Is he still playing football, or is the poor old guy retired??? Guess chasing Favre around wore the poor guy out! :rotflmao:

"He had an ongoing rivalry with Packers quarterback Brett Favre, whom he sacked more than any other quarterback."

"His 137.5 career sacks is the most by a defensive tackle in NFL history"

    "7 Time Pro Bowl"

Hey cheesey, you mean he had a hard time catching Favre lke this :rotflmao:

The look on Favre's face is priceless, like "Holy Crap, I'm a dead man"

Did you notice........the only way he could get Favre was to GRAB HIS FACEMASK!!!
Yes.....he DID catch Brett a few times. But...how many times did Brett BURN the Vikings? Pretty many!
Wasn't Randle the guy that always painted his face up? I always got a kick outta that!

HA!....... Randle used to throw Favre around like a rag doll.

How many times did Favre burn the Vikes?..........
Let's see, if Favre had the same win to loss ratio against all the other NFL teams that he has had against the Vikings, he would have been gone a long time ago.

Ya, Randle used to paint his face :rotflmao:
