Rangers did not get relegated, Rangers Plc went out of business/folded/went bust and are no longer part of the scottish football association. rangers in their current state are a completely new company/club and have technically only been in existence for 1.5 years

i love bringing this up when rangers fans think they've been around for 100+ years and have however many trophies

You are right, Scotscheese, and no doubt they deserved what happened but to be honest to me they belong to the SPL and I hope they will be back one day. ;)
But Im not a Rangers fan though there is a friendship between Rangers and HSV fans....

it cracks me up when all the rangers fans kept going on about how they're team/club were being victimized, and how they should get preferential treatment as they were one of the "big two". i admit some of the sanctions against the new company were much more severe than had happened at other clubs that had went in to administration, and i do not agree with that happening.

but there is just not the money being invested in scottish football to keep clubs going like they used to, this falls mainly on two(maybe three) events shoulders(my opinion only)

1. the TV revenue being offered for scottish football in the last 20 or so years since the sport has been more and more commercialised,(sky, BBC, setanta, ESPN) all have a part to blame here. sky willing to pay 400 Million for 3 years coverage of epl, but maybe only 10-15 million for the same period of scottish footy(please note not exact figures)

2. the bosman ruling also had a huge impact as there was not the same transfer monies coming into the scottish game, which would then trickle down to the lower teirs of the leagues

3. the old firm monopolising the revenue streams coming in and getting a larger than fair share compared to the rest of football in scotland, at least before the bosman ruling they would have to pay to steal all the best players from other scottish clubs(though never playing them), so that source of income virtually vanished for a lot of lower tier clubs

Initially i felt sorry for their fans however it was them who were happy for David Murray to spend all the money (not even his) on players on the never never. The uneducated support were shocked when the chickens came home to roost with the massive debt that put them out of business, more fool them i say. They deserved what happened to them liquidation and supporters/assets expulsion re-admittance to the lowest league as a new company under an old name. As for Celtic (well its only my opinion) they can also play the victim card and be very smug at the same time, both clubs are very similar in this regard..........

As an Aberdeen fan this must delight you, ;) fans of the newcompany stick their heads in the sand about it but the fact is the entity that was Rangers is finished, they are now a new Football Club all their previous history is gone forever.

Didnt see the game last night so i cant judge, but i watched the game on sunday - Utd v Swansea, and Man Utd are absolutely clueless. They have nothing. Players in their squad like Nani, Anderson, Cleverly - these guys wouldnt get into the Wolves team! Nani and Anderson especially, I just can't get my head around what they're supposed to offer, and to think they're both on about £100k per week is ridiculous.

Ouch... lol. :roflmao: That's hilarious.

Yeah, the midfield for United have zero creativity at all. No playmakers coming out and showing ability.

Yesssss, at least the EPL is back this weekend.
Glad they air Chelsea at Hull on Saturday and surprise, surprise -ManU against Swansea on Sunday. But why ManU again ? Villa against Arsenal or City at Newcastle would have been more interesting in my opinion.

Hoping Newcastle and City is a cracking game. Stream it if it's not on tv.

Go Magpies.

Somebody watching the game? Quite boring so far....
Edit: wow, Hazard, what a shot! 1-0 Chelsea.

Seems Jose is going for points and winning ugly again. Missed the game boring was it nessie? 0-2 i'm not bothered ill take that over an exciting defeat anyday. Torres scores again!:laugh: Hazard is playing really well lately.

Great player and still only 31 by far the best keeper CFC has ever had.

Fully agree ;)
Hull didnt have a single chance to score therefore well deserved win for the Blues. Hazard is outstanding at the moment, but I was surprised to hear PSG wants to sign him? :cautious:

Its normal for other teams being interested in players like Hazard however Nessie as you know its a two way thing, i would not mind Falcao, Kroos and Cavani. ;)

Thats just the way professional football is, one player is sold, another one is signed. Unfortunately there are only a few players like Lampard or Gerrard left. For most of the players its just a job and its about earning as much money as possible during their career.
But anyway, Jose already said that Hazard isnt going anywhere ! ;)
