    1) First of all I am not going to make excuses for the Packers. This was an *** kicking. But, I can bitch about say the Cowboys. Blowing a 24 point lead vs. the Lions, icing your own effing kick and dropping the ball vs. the Jets (literally) and playing patty cake vs. the Pats D when you know you can throw it but you don't. Cowboys blew the East. Thanks guys.

    2) Saints. How dumb are you guys? 5 turnovers vs. the Niners and still with less then two minutes you let Alex "Montana" Smith drive down and win? You do realize Saints you could have hosted the title game now and probably beat either AFC team indoors with your offense? Oh and you always make the Giants look pathetic.

    3) I am mad at Peyton Manning. In a year the AFC sucks balls and it's an Indy SB he goes and gets his neck messed up. Yeah sure our D might have sucked but the Colts OWN the Ravens and they have been torching the NE D since 2005. 40 points vs. NE with Freeney/Mathis chasing Brady around and we are in the SB. Oh sure the Texans are on the rise but don't give me that. We beat them with Orlovsky.

    4) So speaking of the Texans. Eff you Schaub for getting hurt for the year. Your team was looking like a real SB contender. Great D, great run game and maybe the best receiver in the league. So you get hurt and now you throw in Yates who was not that bad but is a rookie 5th round pick.

    5) Speaking of Yates. How easy do the top seeds in the AFC get it? They open with Tebow and Yates. Of course Tebow beat the Steelers but the Steelers started to become the walking dead with injuries. I still don't know how Pittsburgh lost but it might be the SB loser curse thingie. And how did I never truly realize till today Bernard Pollard (the guy who tore the knees of Brady/Welker) is on the Ravens? How weird is that ****.

Blame Greg Williams for the Saints part. And bad mojo.

You did your best dear. So sorry. We both tried. It was bad mojo indeed.
We also picked out the wrong Manning this offseason I believe looking back. Eli has the mojo now of both Manning QBs.

    Eli is now very powerful.

Hey Jules -- since you jumped on the Brees "stat padding" bandwagon I wondered what you thought of Rodgers today. He kept throwing even though it was obvious the game was long over.

Oh please. That is just lame and you know it.

Think about this. You stop Alex Smith of all people with less then 2 minutes to go and you go to the SB with a good chance of winning it indoors.

    WTF man.

The Saints could have pulled a 2006 Colts as the third seed.

What was lame was when you were making the stat padding argument in the first place.

No doubt about it though, Gregg Williams last series as the DC of the Saints cost us a pretty good shot at a second SB.

Eli does seem to have good mojo right now. I like it, because I like Eli.

Still depressed though. I could use a snuggie, a bowl of chocolate ice cream with hot fuge sauce, and a couple of hours of watching Jim Caviezel.

BTW in regards to stat padding, it's football. Why would you not go for every bit of greatness as you can?

Some people just threw in that argument during the MVP debate. It was mostly an ill informed argument as most of the games they threw out there Drew was actually pulled from -- the advocates of the argument just didn't know it.

Can we get over it? Its not even the point of my lovely rants. I have bitched at the Pats too for it in the past. It is just something I do.

I don't hate Brees though. I respect the man. But, Payton kinda bugs me at times I do admit. He gives me cocky vibes.

I am suprised. I mean really. Both Brees and Rodgers out in the same weekend? Well if defense wins championships then.....yep.

I don't like the Giants but I don't mind Eli. I just cannot imagine...well I can imagine.......Eli winning it all in the house Peyton built with his success. It seems odd. It feels right though now. But, it would be a Manning family orgasm.

I know Peyton is pulling for Eli and the Giants. He and Eli are closer then many realize.

Funny I heard not long ago that Jim Irsay is pulling for the Ravens. WTF. Well he still has friends in Baltimore I heard and he probably gets hot and bothered with the Baltimore Colts thing.

If the Ravens get in the SB then be prepared for old Baltimore Colts to be waltzed around Indy. Some are like 100.

It's funny that people say that about SP -- if you listen to him he always gives other teams respect. The only thing I can figure is that the media likes to throw that out there. It's pretty obvious that he believes in not giving the media anything to work with and I can't say I blame him.

Yeah, it's a big blow to have two of the marquee quarterbacks in the league out all at once. Any given Sunday I guess. Dammit.

I probably would dislike the Giants if Eli weren't on the team. He's the only reason I pull for them at times. If he left the Giants though, I wouldn't care about them anymore.

Eli getting it done in Peyton's house. Well, if it can't be Peyton this year, it might as well be a Manning. It does seem right, and I like that family a lot. Plus I despise the other three teams. Go Eli.

WTF Irsay? You've gotta be kidding me. What a weirdo. The Ravens. That's disgusting. At least it isn't the Patriots I guess >.<

Agreed, Payton always respects other teams. I've never heard him make a remark I thought was inappropriate. And yet he does have a little swagger, a little attitude. I love it. He's great.

Hey now. I'll take Sean Payton any day over the grump who coaches the Patriots or Rexy. Ugh.

It is amazing how many great QBs are stuck on teams with crappy Ds. Brady is left but then again who knows when that D gets exposed again. They have not played a QB worth a damn since back to backs vs. Ben/Eli and we know how those turned out.

Didn't you think they lost to the Steelers because their offense was so terrible that day? That game I watched. They couldn't do anything right...rallied a bit at the end but fell short. Brady was playing hurt, harrassed all day, and then they played the Giants the following week (which I did not see).

Didn't get the feeling the Patriots defense was the primary reason they lost that one. They're a lot like our defense, but at this point I think they're better than we are. Could just be their schedule though, as you say.

Eh I don't know. I hate the AFC teams this year basically but the Texans so they can all eat giant bowls of poop.

Speaking of divisional rants at least the Packers won it all last year. I still don't think this game was nearly as bad as the 2005 Colts loss to the Steelers which was HELL. Sure both teams started 13-0, had great offenses and had a son die from the coaching staff. And the refs tried to help the Colts win like the Packers. And the Colts had already beaten the Steelers in 05. Like the Packers already beat the Giants this year. And before the game Joey Porter having to be separated from the Colts players and calling us out days before saying our team was too soft.

But, Nick Harper a Colts starting CB, also got stabbed in the leg a few nights before the game by his wife. You know old Nick. The same bastard who let Big Ben get the shoe string tackle to save the game winning TD after the miracle fumble by the Bus. Of course Nick ran up the middle and not to the side like he should have. And of course the Steelers just let us get our hopes up before Vandershank shanked.

Yep that game was worse. A clean beat down is always better then the football Gods completely mind ****ing with you.

The Giants are the Steelers!!!!!!!! Just in different uniforms. Those jerks.

Irsay is good friends with Steve Bisciotti, the Ravens owner, and Raymond Berry, who will be presenting the Lombardi after the game. I've actually heard a lot of locals talk about how much healing that would be. Not sure why, I guess beating the Colts this season (talk about beating a dead horse) and then winning the big game in their stadium is some sort of vindication or redemption.

That is why I'm so woebegone. I've been mindf***ed twice by the football gods now, via the Colts and Saints. Bastards.

Absolutely, but if it would get some of the local 22 year old fans who passionately hate the Colts off my backside, I'm all for it. I think a lot of the younger generation who hate the organization for no other reason than their parents did are looking for some way to let it go, especially since they weren't even born when the Mayflowers pulled out of Baltimore.

Oh for Gods sake. Lets light candles now and have Colts/Ravens fans hold hands while we are at it.

I heard a few Colts fans in Manning jerseys who went to Baltimore for the divisional game in early 2007 got beer bottles thrown at them. I get called a homer at times for either the Colts or Packers but I KNEW the Colts would win that game. I was so calm I took a nap before it. It just felt meant to be. ESPN predicted the Colts demise that whole week at times but I knew the Colts D has woken up at the right time (they were far better then they showed all regular season) and the Colts O was running the ball way too well. We ran on the Ravens!!! Nobody had all year.

This hatred over the years from Baltimore fans has been ridiculous at times. Then again lets face it. The Manning led Colts have OWNED the Ravens more then anyone. Even more then the Steelers IMO. They never handle the Colts with Peyton. THEY DON'T. They never do. The Colts with Manning could look like garbage then wake up and beat the Ravens at home or away.

Ironically Ray Lewis once said a few years ago that if you took Peyton from this team that they basically win nothing. He was right. Ray and Peyton were one of my favorite chess matches to ever watch.

At least the Colts just did a clean suckage and did not tease us? BTW don't forget Lauren I had a bad feeling about the Colts as soon as they lost to the Jets in the WC round. I felt a bad season coming.......

But I feel bad for the Saints now. They were sooooo close from pulling a 2006 Colts with being the third seed hosting the 4th at home in the crazy dome.

I have little doubt the Saints win the SB if they beat the Niners. They own the Giants. Brees is a Pats killer and the Ravens can be beaten.
