You must really be angry to start a thread "slamming" Eli and Peyton. You know they are both awesome.

^ Peyton "was" awesome....but Eli, no.....he is a lame duck that has been inflated to a level higher than what he is, due to his defense bailing him out year after year. He's a hack.

You mean the defense that was ranked 27th last year?

Eli Manning is playing QB at a level of performance and understanding that Aaron Rodgers will never approach.

Aaron Rodgers is an excellent QB and I am not going to put him down but Eli is just better than he is.

    ^ ^wake up....hey...wake up....you are dreaming.

Why is it that anyone should listen to YOU and your Eli theory when the entire core of the NFL players voted ARod the best player? lol.....Eli was at 31st...lol...

Eli has come a long ways from his inital start, but ask any unbias football guy who he would rather have if he was building a team and I bet you ARod get picked 10 to 1 over Eli. Eli has had a better supporting defense to help him out for many years......take that away and he becomes Matt Casell.

Eli has matured and can make throws that he couldn't earlier in his career. I don't think that you can compare him to AR but he has become a good reliable quarterback. He is better than most in the NFL. He is probably in the top 7 to 10 quarterbacks.

I think that poll is a little tarnished since so many players are friends. You can't deny that Eli is a grown into a pretty good quarterback. As much as we don't like it (I think some of us fans are really still mad at Eli for kicking our butts) he did walk through Green Bay to get to the Superbowl. Don't get mad at me, it is true.

It is amazing that you make ignorant statements such as "Eli is a lame duck", "Eli has been bailed out by his defense year after year" and "take away his defense and he is no better than Matt Cassel" but to use a Top 100 players poll to support your position is pure stupidity.

In regards to Eli Manning, the results are what counts. He is a 2 time SuperBowl MVP that has repeatedly beaten the best teams on the road on the road to those Championships. Eli has ice water in his veins and doesn't get rattled. He makes throws on a regular basis that no other QB in NFL can make. The guy is the most clutch QB in NFL right now.

Eli Manning is a true leader that cares much more about winning than he does about his stats unlike some other QBs.

Actually you are wrong again because although they ranked Eli 31st best player, only 4 QBs were voted ahead of him and they were, Ben Rothlisberger, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. I don't give any veracity to the poll but if you are going to use it to support your argument then please quote it correctly.

After the regular season he had last year, Aaron Rodgers deserved to be voted number one, I have no issues with that.

lol....you know why I said that...c'mon man. That clown that was banned was bashing on us, so did some bashing of my own....just getting a rise out of the Giants nut huggers that feel the need to come on a Packers site that they have no reason to be on other than to start sh!t. If they can deal it but not take it, that's not my fault. Just poking at them.

In reality, I do think Eli has come a long ways from his frantic acting younger days. Is he elite? Maybe in some peoples eyes, but not mine. Is he a top 10 QB? Yes indeed he is. But, you have to admit, he has had a much more steller supporting cast that people have given the credit to him on rather than the crew that surrounds him. He has NEVER lacked a running game to help support him, whereas we have in our recent past. The Giants have 3 maybe even 4 guys on their D line that you can consider top pass rushers, in our recent past we have had really only couple. Does he have 2 rings, yes, has he been playing longer tha Arod, yes.....in time will Arod have 2 or more, I do think he will.

I don't have anything against Eli but Rodgers is the better qb. Eli does have 2 rings tho with 2 super bowl mvp's...can't take that away from him.

I didn't realize you were responding to some rude schmuck. maybe I should have paid more attention.

You do realize NY Giants had the worst run game in NFL last year?

You do realize NY Giants were tied for NFL lead in dropped passes last season and have constantly lead the league in that category?

You do realize we had 27th ranked defense in NFL last year? Yes they did get healthy and over achieved in the playoffs but they are a very flawed bunch.

You do realize our offensive line was has been horrible for the past couple years and gave up 11 sacks in the post season last year. It is the reason we have used Henry Hynoski primarily in blocking schemes this season and why we signed Martellus Bennett in the off season. MB is awesome and is the best blocking tight end we have had since Mark Bavarro. It is a bonus that MB has been such a good receiver this season in addition to his domination as a run blocker and pass protector.

Our NY Giants team has had a lot of problems but the one constant positive through the years has been Eli Manning. He has been the glue that has held this team together. Heck, during the Eli Era, receivers that have left have not come close to performing with other QBs as they have when they were with Eli Manning.

Aaron Rodgers is a great QB but I still think Eli Manning is better. I guess time will tell and I really hope both of our teams make the playoffs and play each other again. I also hope that both teams bring their A game this time.

Your run game could not have been worse than ours.....lol...I don't have the numbers in front of me, but we have sucked at the run for a long time now.

Dropped passes??? lol. Better go look up that stat as well, we exel in doing that too.

27th ranked D, huh....well ours was 31st or 32nd or just plain dead *** last...patriots were closest to us.

11 sacks in a post season run....ok.....Arod has been sacked way more than that so far this season, aint sh!t changed from last season on that stat line.

We will be playing you guys come November......in your turf.....have fun, and don't take the beating personally.....lol

OK...point I was making = we both sucked then. Don't know how anyone could be worse than our pathetic effort. Didn't they have ahmad bradshaw and brandon jacobs? Those are better guys than what we had/have. I know Jacobs left and went to SF, don't think the NYG miss him now that they have that bad *** back up.

I have to say I have a friend here who follows the Giants. When we won the superbowl, she COULDN`T bring herself to even say well done !!! The following year when the Giants won it, I was on the phone congratulating her. To me, that says a lot about difference between the two sets of fans. What is Big Blue Pride doing on here anyway ?? It`s a PACKERS forum. Did you think we were going to say how brilliant the "Big Blue" are on here ???? Jeez

We are having fun talking smack about football. You folks have a great team with a wonderful history and an awesome fanbase. I like talking about football with others fans because we have different veiwpoints.

Apparently your friend that didn't congratulate you on winning the Super Bowl may be a a little bit of a bad sport. So, congratulations on beating Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLVI.

If you beat us in November, of course I will post congratulations shortly after the game. If we win, I will go be happy on NY Giants message board and will not gloat on this one but will post a week or two later to talk more Xs and Os.

I am happy your team is finding its groove and I think you will win your division.
