this goes here because it has no football insight whatsoever, but its still pretty funny...late in the game monday night when Grady jumped offside Madden goes...

"whoaa, big grady jackson is 380-pounds, once he gets it up and gets it goin, well, he aint stoppin'"

in what was a very tense and annoying 4th quarter, this made everyone in the room burst out laughing

no, i stand by john madden as a color commentator, he adds exactly that, color...i'm sick of guys like al micheals, phil simms, troy aikman, joe theissman who make comments that make me think "oh well no (crap) sherlock"...john madden is unpredictable and causes me to keep my ears focused on the broadcast...football is getting too new and cutting-edge for my liking, having an old-timre like madden still doing it is fine with me

Without guys like Al Michaels, Phil Simms, Troy Aikman, and Joe Theissman, we'd just have Madden to talk about sour krout and turkey for 3 hours. I for one am very thankful for those guys.

agreed ahaug82...Madden is off his rocker...there is no finer example of "Captain Obvious" than John Madden, and ABC would be much better w/out him.

Worst announcer on the planet is Cris Collinsworth. He's so full of himself and such an idiot!

Bill Walton in the NBA is the worst announcer on the planet...Cris Collinsworth comes in a close second though. He acts like he's the best WR ever to walk the face of the earth. Now, he was pretty good but probably not in the top 25 receivers of all-time, maybe not even top 50!
