    The Green Bay Packers cut defensive back Michael Hawthorne on Friday, general manager Ted Thompson announced.

    Hawthorne, 28, played in all 16 games during the 2004 season, tying for the team lead in forced fumbles with two, while adding one fumble recovery for a touchdown, according to the Packers. He began the year as the Packers
