DCEBB2011's Midseason-Mock Draft

First, I would like to set up a little disclaimer to this post. I will be considering the following factors for this mock draft of the Packer's 2011 draft choices as forseen today. This mock maintains:

1. There are not any underclassmen in this mock draft. Since no underclassmen have yet declared and there are alays surprises as to who will, I will not even attempt to guess. Rather, I will stick to seniors only for this mock.

2. I fully understand that we are a game short of the mid-way mark in the regular season and a lot can change, including the draft order. As of right now, however, the Packers are 15th in the league standings. This means we would be picking around 18th.

3. I will conduct a full first round mock with the later rounds filled in for GB only.

4. I draft primarily to find good value at positions of need. That means I will not reach for a player, but will rather find a range around a draft pick and select a player that fills a need or maximizes the value of the pick.

5. I fully expect that NONE of this will happen due to the fact that trades, underclassmen, and the possibility of a lockout will affect the draft this season. So without further ado...

Maybe it's because of the underclassmen, but from what I've heard so far, the OL class is really, really thin this year.

And do you think SF will pick OL for the 3rd straight time in the first round?

Based upon the class, there would most likely only be 2 OL worthy of a first round grade. However, because some teams are lacking OL depth or playmakers, they may reach. I would not count SF out of this equation as their OL still needs some improvement.

Just a question... Why is NE picking 31st if you have the Jets winning the SB?

This is because I have chosen the draft order based upon the NFL League Standings at espn.com/nfl. This is because I do not want to place any conjecture as to who will win the SB and make the playoffs at this point. Rather, I just want to project some potential picks based on the criteria listed.
