Ok I like Crosby and I don't think he should be cut, but all of these misses need to be addressed. Something needs to be done about kicking, whether it be more competition or whatever, but this is turning into a big liability going into the play offs.
Could Mason's dilemma be attributed to the new special teams Coach? The entire ST unit including both the kicking and punt teams have been nonexistant. The only bright spot is jeremy kapinos, he's turning out to be a better punter than we all thought.
New kicker(s) for the Packers? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-d5z_7Am7U]YouTube - Crosby kicks with Rockettes[/ame]
There is Alex Zendejas kicking for The University of Arizona in Tucson (yes, of the famous "kicking Zendejas" family...), but he is only a sophomore so we have 2 more years to wait for him.
Head games with kickers - hopefully, he won't cost Green Bay a game in the playoffs. Kickers are so easy to find that sometimes it ain't a bad idea to turn a guy loose when he's on 'shaky' ground. You'd hate to miss out on playing for the NFFCCG because Crosby pushes one wide, even though he has no technical flaws.
What is funny is when the Rockette kicks the ball (at 58 seconds) he casually mentions that "usually they tend to go left", his kicking problems are so "in his head" that he doesn't even realize it himself.
Brett Conway? Wasn't that the name of a character on a soap opera? You know, the one where the guy gets drafted to kick, and suddenly he finds that he couldn't kick his way out of a nursing home, so he goes to another city to pretend that he is a kicker all over again. I think I've seen it.
