and then promptly made a mistake that gave Pit a TD...I'm still not sold on him in the secondary...I think he's a pure Special Teams player and thats about it

He made up for it with his coverage later on in the game. I feel much better when he is making tackles on special teams and doing nothing else.

He also looked like an idiot in the end zone on Hines Ward.

The guy may have promise as a Safety, but he has no business playing a cover corner. Oh, and he's the boss on special teams.

Yep, i was nervous when he was on the field on defence, but was 1000% STUNNED when he came up with that pick

Edit:
Of course, his other mess ups made me come back to reality.

I agree with you. Watching Bush play defense makes me cringe. He made a great play at a great time, but I hope I never have to see him in the secondary ever again. Hopefully he sticks to special teams only.

Bush has shut up his critics.. and I'm very happy with him just being a special teams specialist. Anything else is just a bonus..

I still think Bush can play corner, I've said it before during the offseason...the guy has good enough speed and is a good enough athlete...he just needs to work at it...he's definitely better the Lee & Underwood

The irony is Bush messed up on his Interception play. He let the Steeler's TE go free running down the sideline WIDE OPEN! Then he broke on the ball underneath and picked it off. Basically he screwed up, but it was in our favor instead of an easy TD for the Steelers! That may have been the difference in the game if you think about it.

Luckily with the other guys coming off IR next year Bush will never see the field in the secondary. ST only.

When I saw he was in there, Wood out, I thought "Crap, we lost!"

I think he let him loose b/c he was eyeing Ben's eyes and felt he was going to throw over the middle...but yea Heath Miller was wide open and that's all on Ben for missing him

Ya bush stepped up huge, and even though he caused us the other pittsburgh game, he def. contributed to this win. I always love when a player makes a name for himself in a big game (in a good way). I dont think anyone would have though that the last defensive play to win the game would have involved Jarrett Bush, and Pat lee.

I don't know, he read that perfectly. It was a HUGE gamble, but sometimes that's just how things are. Maybe he was so confident that Ben was going to make that throw, that he just couldn't pass it up. We don't know what went on in his mind, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, since the poor guy never gets it, haha. Sure, Ben could've thrown one of his infamous pump fakes and Bush would've looked like an idiot with an easy throw down the sideline, but his gamble worked.

I don't believe the defensive coaches would give Bush the freedom to roam around and play on instinct like Polamalu! C'Mon, a ST guy who barely sniffs the field on Defense unless somebody is hurt? And would they allow him to take HUGE HUGE gambles based off what he "THINKS" Ben Roethlisburger is gonna do? A Gamble that could have resulted in an easy TD. Heck, I don't want Matthews or anybody on D gambling out there.

I'll give Bush credit for driving on the ball and taking it away. But, he almost nearly cost us a TD if Ben had glanced over there.

That was an awsome play,
random note

I wish the play where matthews did a force fumble wouldve been a touchdown, close to being one though

I've been ******* Bush this year, I haven't seem him play at the level where I think he needs to be. But I have to give him props, Woodson left some pretty big shoes to fill and I think Bush played well. It was good enough to help win the SB, and Bush was a part of it, so I am happy for him!

Bush player a very good season as an ST ace.

He played AWFUL at the SB. AWFUL.

His int, he was completely out of position, he had lost his man, and if Ben was a better QB, he'd have hit Heath Miller (Bush's man, Bush was actually the ILB in that play) who was wide open. There were other 3 times where Bush was completely out of position on coverage, and all of them resulted in Steelers' completions.

Now, it's true that he hadn't practiced playing as a starting corner. He had to adjust on the go when Woodson went down. And he had played fairly well, even as a dime CB, during the season.

I'm really rooting for the guy, he took too much from fans like me, he's a really dedicated kid, Packers people, he's a very good ST player, and deserves the best.

But unless something changes dramastically, I don't ever want to see him on the field with the D. But he has a firm roster spot as a gunner.

I will never be excited when he's in our secondary. But the man made a monster play... no doubt about it.

He stays on ST. Does Slocum keep his job? I've never heard of a team firing a coach when that team won SB.

Even in the SB, you can see the good and the bad.

Good: ST didn't allow any return TD's.
Bad: PIT had damn good field position almost everytime.

Slocum... sorry man... I hope you're out.
