 Who gave anyone from the bears, lions, or esp. the vikings any invite to have any opinion on the likes of Brett Favre. He deserves to take his own sweet time to make a decision. And what is this about comparing his decision time with Walkers?? This is not about salary. It is about the love of the game. If indeed he is not what he has been I'll place my money anyday on a has been than a never been. He has been a classy, sophisticated member of the Packer franchize and has earned some time to make a life changing decision. Give this great Packer quarterback a break. l:

A friend of mine brought up a good point regarding Favre's indecisevness (sp?). He said that maybe Favre is thinking that he could probably do more good helping out with the Katrina clean-up and rebuilding. That might have a lot to do with why he hasn't made up his mind yet. I know I talked to someone who has been to Mississippi several times to help out the victims of Katrina, and he said you wouldn't believe the hassle there is down there. Of course, the news only prints New Orleans, but Mississippi was hit just as badly.

HEHEHEHE...imagine that....vikings, bears, lions and even an eagle fan all come to gether on one Packer forum under one single thread about Brett Favre's retirement decision.

Who looks like the assholes? Do you see any Packer fans talking about whether Brad Johnson will return? Don't you douchebags get it. If it was only Packer fans that were obsessed with this it wouldn't be such a big deal. But since every fan in the NFL needs to know ESPN covers it. Besides if this is your attempt at smack it is really weak. Come to the east coast, those guys know how to talk smack......dickheads!

It figures you live in Michigan and don't even root for your own team. What new band wagon will you hop on when the packers stink up the league for a few years? Most of us lions fans are not the losers most of you would like to think. We truly love our team win or lose. When the lions finally do start winning, I'm sure you'll be supporting them the loudest and saying that you were there all along.

Just admit the bears had a fluke season. They beat a packer team depleted with injuries. Bear fans hanging their hat on sweeping the packers in a injury prone season is pathetic. Thats like talking smack about beating the 49ers. The panthers owned the bears when it counted which was great to see.

No I have always been a packer fan all my life. I didnt hop on any bandwagon when they stunk up the league last year. So when are the lions finally going to be winning? I think 2030 and by then they will draft another wide receiver.

How much rebuilding has Favre done? I have seen plenty of articles on his active hunting, fishing, and talking with the press about not knowing when he is coming back. But I have not seen anything about his help in rebuilding.

Packers were only slightly more injured than the Bears.
    1. Walker - that one hurt.
    2. Green - averaging 55yds/game b4 injury.
    3. Defecator - Hurt every year so far.
    4. Flanigan - Hurt 50% year
    5. OLB - Hurt 75% year
    6. 4th string WR - big deal

    Bears
    1. OLine rotating every game
    2. #2 WR out 50%
    3. #2 RB out 25%
    4. Rotating FB all year
    5. Safeties gone last 25%
    did I forget anyone?
Oh yeah. Starting QB for 14 games was rookie and had 1 preseason game to get ready.

Dont cry over injury depleted team. You have had rock solid qb for 14 years.

You forgot the kicker that they signed to replace Edinger had what appears to be a career ending back injury and they had to go with a rookie in his place all season in what may be the toughest stadium in the entire league for place kickers.

When the Bears were decimated by injuries in 2002 after winning the division the year before, Packer fans pointed and laughed and loved every minute of it. On top of that, they did not have a single home game that season due to the Solder Field renovation and played their "home" games 130 miles away from Chicago. No excuses. S**t happens in football.
When a football season in Chicago turns out that things did not go their way, Bears fans don't spend the next year whining and crying about it.

What kind of crying would Packer fans do if a Bears player intentionally knocked Favre out for the rest of the season with the most cowardly cheap shot in NFL history and it cost them a trip to the Super Bowl that year? I can only imagine after seeing this stupid Instant replay game still being brought up after almost 20 years.

Smack area to Tromdz. Calling Tromdz to the smack area.

At least Tromdz will try to put out some ideas on why his team will clean up the north.

Tromadz thinks Billy Cundiff is a good kicker, and that our WR corps are fine because Walker is "under contract"

I think you mean the second-biggest joke. Unlike the Queens, the Lions DID once win a championship.

Some of us are not whining, Phil. IMO, we have had a great run for the better part of the last 15 years (last year being the exception, of course). We had a bad season due to numerous problems, most of which are now being rectified. I may be somewhat optimistic, but I wouldn't bet on a similar performance by the Pack this season.

Uh-huh. The last time GB brought home a Lombardi was 1996. The last time Detroit did was... What am I thinking? YOU HAVEN'T. You may consider 1996 "the past" but by the same token, 2005 is "the past" as well. Regardless, you have not won a World Championship in recent memory, while the Pack has.

As for the Queens fans, someday when your team actually wins a World Championship you may actually earn the right to open your collective mouths. Until that time, please let the Lions do the talking for you.

    GO PACK!!!

    Robert C. Hedley
