This guy plays like a possessed maniac. Is he on steroids? Has he had his drug tests for the season? Im just asking a question. We will have our hands full against this monster. I have nothing but respect for the guy though, cos if it wasnt for him Vick would still be on the bench. Therefore Clay Matthews has my vote for MVP.

I know you're being funny in here, but this is no funny matter.
Players are submitted to drug tests the whole season, but their results aren't divulgued till the season is over.
Unless proven guilty, it's an absurd to even raise the question whether Matthews is on steroids or not.

What we do know is that tests were made last season, were he was a beast as well (not as much as this year, though), and nothing positive came out.

Unless contrary evidence comes out, Matthews is clean.
And, yes, he will go on roid rage and rip Vick's head. Wait, that's Suh... Well, he'll have to content with an arm or a leg.

(But I have a feeling that the guy that will be wreacking havoc on your team will be Raji.)

Hey wassup man, lol Rajii got owned by Vick a few times last game and so did Clay. Funny thing is Vick wasnt even practicing with the 1st team before that game. Now he will be prepared and so will Greenbay. This will be the Best , most exciting game of the post season besides the superbowl.

If he is on anything it would be hgh since they dont test for it.

I dont believe he is on anything and its pointless to speculate on players drug habits. If he tests positive then we can talk about it.

I know you were kind of joking, but the title is pure smack. So to the smack shack this thread goes.

So if your successful, you must be on the juice? Well, everybody is entitled to their opinions and you could accuse any NFL player who is one of the best at their position of the same thing. I think it's unfair to the player unless they test positive to even insinuate they are on the juice. If you understand his mentality and his off season workouts, it's not surprising he's successful. Btw. If you look at his father, uncle and grandfather, why is it so hard to believe maybe he has some natural skills?

Well, to be fair, the Packers D was still "learning" to play together in game 1 where a scrambling Vick was not expected, nor game planned for.

I'm not surprised Vick avoided Raji. I mean, a 300+ guy is gonna have a hard time tackling a guy like Vick who is super mobile. Not surprised Clay couldn't get him either sometimes. That's why he's dangerous and a threat that GB better have a soild plan to contain or he'll do damage.

Clay got him in the end on the 4th an 1 when it mattered.

Like Murgen said, when you play an "immobile" QB like Kolb, you rush him full speed and try to break the pocket.

When you play Vick, you don't rush full speed. You contain him and force him to make mistakes. I'm sorry, but Vick is not an elite pocket passer. He's great at making something out of nothing and throwing deep balls to open receivers, but he's no Tom Brady or Kurt Warner.

Clay will rush to contain. So will Zombo, Jenkins or Walder. So will Woodson.

Raji will try to collapse the pocket and force Vick to go to the arms of the rushers.

Yes, Vick wasn't practicing with the ones. But he knew the players and the system from the year earlier.

We hadn't even schemed for him. Now we will. Dom Capers is a master, to the level of Dick LeBeau. It's no coincidence we're the #2 scoring D and the #1 D in opposing QB rating, and in the top 5 in every passing cathegory. It's no coincidence no team has scored more than 2 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD on us, and no offensive team has scored more than 26 points on us.

    Amen, bro!!! ^

Dawhole, I wonder if anyone has ever heard of extreme hard work and a gym? Wonderful things, I might say. As a fan of Clay and the Packers, I find these allegations to be insulting whether joking or not. Clay plays every down as if it is the last down in the SB and the game is on the line. He is where he is because he has worked extremely hard and absolutely deserves to be here. I'm sure fans of opposing teams can't fancy him very much but at least show some respect. I now hope with all my heart that Clay attacks the Eagles trice as hard.

In case you did not know, if you guys don't have a guy to stand up to Clay, he is going to destroy you. If you double tam him, it only opens up another player to come through. I'm sure you already know this, but I just like to say it.

~After the game on Sunday, Clay and his Packers buddies are going to be munching. Clay, "These Eagles wings are pretty damn tasty!" :)

Pure, natural talent. Period. I always expected A.J. Hawk to play like Matthews. The Packers are lucky to have a quality player like Matthews. I hope he has the same longevity that his father, uncle and grandfather had.

Packers need to write a Thank You letter to AJ Smith of the Chargers for passing on Clay Matthews and drafting Larry English. Don't know who Larry English is??? That is my point... Write it!

Hawk has been playing lights out, but he looks like the old flabby version of Matthews. Imagine if he was in better shape.... pretty beasty.

That is a good way to look at it, view it as a compliment. My gut response was anger, though. I look at my team as an extension of my family and my first instinct here was to defend the family. I guess it should be viewed as a compliment, in essence they are really just commenting on how good of a player he is. I suppose I could live with that. *Retracts fangs.

    Spot on.

Part of me is quite apppaled at seeing how commentators and even President I'll-Bomb-Ya are praising that scum.
And the other part of me isn't because it's a reminder that no one really cares about any other animal except for the human animal.
