And yeah I know Culpepper wasn't the qb that year, but I found this picture and figured it would be appropriate to post it here. 8)

kinda crazy how the vikings got the ball first just like we did and we both came up short. the vikings fans were prolly more heartbroken since they were the best team that year record wise. although I still believe denver would of won anyway

Bud, you are fighting a unwinnable battle. If we win one superbowl, Packer fans would say "you only have one?", If we win 2 superbowls, Packer fans would say "2 in your whole existance?...we won 7 back in 1833 when there were 3 other teams in the league"

It's like a Brewers fan trying to talk smack towards a Twins fan...unwinable.

It just gets old hearing the same old crap, especially when most of the people were not even living when they won 2/3 of those Super Bowls. They won one in my lifetime and that is all that matters to me. That was over ten years ago!

Yeah....you know.....just like the Vikings versus any AFC team in the Super Bowl.......unwinable!

I was alive during all THREE of our Super Bowl wins.
"They won one in my lifetime and that is all that matters to me."
I wonder if you will ever be able to say that about your OWN team???

I know....it just gets old.......too bad, it's STILL just as TRUE!
42 years.......Packers, 3 Super Bowl wins, one loss
42 Years.......Vikings, 0 Super Bowl wins, FOUR losses
That STILL doesn't get "old" to me!!!

The Twins have more championships and have had more recent success than the Brewers, so I don't know what they would have to talk smack about.

Also, do you think the Twins will trade Santana? I am hoping the Yankees put in both Hughes and Kennedy, but probably not gonna happen.

Yeah.....they could put in "Howard" Hughes and "Teddy" Kennedy!!!

Sucks to be old. I am 27 so that old stuff does not mean **** to me. I am living in my era not yours. 15 more years lo live to get to your age. Yup I think I will see a Super Bowl or two! 8)

I don't see how a team most media people thought wouldn't make the playoffs before the season started(maybe SOME said sneak in) losing in the CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP is a choke job.

Now if the Pats lose Sunday, THAT'S a choke job. Perfection ruined by Eli Manning? Ohhhhh, baby.

I think it was the Vikes. You guys were awesome. Should have won the SB easily.

We were more a Cinderella team.

I agree. The pac gained momentum towards the end of the year, but didnt get a lot of national attention. I think that you can qualify the pack loss as a choke because they had a much better record, homefield advant, and were playing a wild card team. Also, many GB fans thought that the win was inevitable (as did I). But that being said, the Vik team collapse was pretty epic.

True. It was a choke, but not even in the same ballpark as the Vikings choke. Nobody at the beginning of the season took the Pack seriously. People were saying Favre was retired, and the SI rag said we'll go 6-10.

Then around the middle of the season, we were starting to get noticed, but got beaten by the Cows and everyone thought we were just the #1 NFC team, which means probably the #5 or #6 NFL team.

The Vikings on the other hand, man, practically everyone that year was saying the Vikes were unstoppable and would win the SB. That O was the best EVER, until of course the Pats of this year.

My beloved Vikings had a 13 point lead with less than two minutes to go in the first half. I was a far bigger choke than the Packers this season.

At the beginning of the season the NYG wre 25-1 shots to go to the SB..........Pack 70-1........I'd say it was a heck of a season for both teams.

The Vikes(0-4 in SB) should play the Bills(0-4 in SB) in the SB........final score 2-0 Bills

I completely forgot that there's a team that has as bad as an SB record as the Vikes.

Poor Fran. I actually like the guy.
