The Bears did have an offense. Bears had the #8 ranked rushing offense. I think that is decent for everyone knowing that they were going to run. I suppose that they could have emulated the great GB passing attack and just thrown the ball up for anyone to catch, but I guess that they had a different plan.
The Packers might have not let S Smith have 200yards but they did get beat by Charlie Batch and Mike McMahon. Not to mention KO and Rex.

First.......i wasn't there to witness what went on between Green and his wife. You know, sometimes being a celebrity, people make all KINDS of charges against you..........I don't know what went on there, so i won't condemn him. If he IS guilty, he should be punished, whether he is a Packer, Bear, or factory worker.

Now......here's another fact. No matter WHAT team you cheer for, chances are, you have a reason. Me, i love the Packers cause i watched them on TV, and fell in love with the team back when i was a kid. Bears fans probably have the same reasons. You probably grew up in Illinois, or had family that loved the Bears. Same with Lion, or Viking fans. We ALL love, and have loyalty for our teams. I don't "hate" fans of other teams, in fact, i appreciate their loyalty. And if it's jabbing each other in fun, i think it's great. If it's done for meanness, or hate, i think it's wrong, whether it's coming from Bears, or Packer fans.
There have been some VERY respectful fans from other teams that visit here. I have had some playful jousts with them. Some not so nice ones have come here too. To me, if you go to someone else's "home" (site) just be respectful of WHO's site you are on. That goes for OUR fans visiting other team's sites too.

Now.....back to the "smack".......LOLOL!!! Yes, the players in the 80's did some bonehead things. But they didn't STAY in Green Bay after they did that stuff, did they? Nope. They were kicked out. So whats your point? That the Packers don't keep criminals on their team? Good point! You can't control the actions of players off the field. But you CAN fire them when they do that stuff, which the Packers did.

Cheesy - Just responding to your post that the Packers don't keep criminals on their team and that they are 'kicked out'. I even finished my post by saying that every team has their criminals.
This is called the SMACK AREA. I have poked fun at my Bears and all others. I have not been even close to personnally attacking anyone, and if there is something I have said that is not true, please point it out. I believe that A Green admitted to the spousal abuse, and then has since retracted the admission. I will edit my post to show his recent claim.

Well, you OR i were not present when it all went down. Did Greens wife take a swing at him? It's possible. Maybe he was trying to defend himself against her. I don't know, all i'm saying is WE don't know the facts, so how can we judge? I have seen spousal abuse where it's the WOMAN that attacks. Then, the man trys to just deflect her attack, and HE gets charged. It does happen you know. I don't know what DID happen there, so i am not qualified to judge the man. Like i said......if he's guilty, then he should pay for SURE.
As far as attacking anyone........i didn't say you did attack anyone. My post about team loyalty was not aimed at anyone in particular. I was just pointing out we ALL have our team loyalties, and are more alike then different. I KNOW this is the "smack" area, and i have also made fun of the Packers in this area. I didn't take offense to anything that was said. If it bothered me, i'd just stay away from this area.
If something was said that i felt was out of line, maybe i'd say so, but i wouldn't run off crying. So far, i have just seen playfull jousting. That doesn't bother me!

I was there. Heather gave Ahman a beat down like you wouldn't believe. He was running skeered throughout the house. He finally got sanctuary when she ran to one side of the bed an he to the other. Out of frustration he began to yell and punch the bed because a woman jus kicked his *** and he knew he couldn't hit her back. Heather was near the phone and dialed 911 knowing no one would believe she was the one being abusive to a NFL Pro Athlete.

There. Truth is told. Move on.

    Heh :p

    Nothing like eye witness testimony.

She sounds tough. Maybe she could improve GB Defense.

Like it or not.......that stuff DOES happen. Abuse from EITHER the man or woman is wrong. But the MAN is supposed to be the "macho" one, and take it, right? No one has the right to raise their hand to another person, unless it's in self defense.........in which case i would take the person out. (Not on a date, either)

Oh.....the guy was funny. If he didn't have "Sweetness" and that awesome D, he would have never had the SB ring in 1985. What happened to that great D after that year? I'm serious.....not talking smack......why were they only great for one year?

Wow you're a smart one. Don't hate because the 1996 or any other Packers defense for that matter is never mentioned with the word "greatness". The 1986 Bears Defense was even better than the 1985 one and the Bears went 14-2 that year but lost to the Redskins in the divisional round(sometimes you win, sometimes you lose). Where were the Packers that year? Oh yeah, they were right above the Buccaneers at 4-12. Do your homework before posting ignorance. The McMahon/Favre comparison was just a joke, if you couldn't figure it out for yourself.

Answer me this question smart guy.
If the Bears were only good in 1985(according to you), then why do they have just as many Superbowl wins as the Packers do since then and more division titles? (playing Jeopardy music)

I bet in 96 that if the Packers didn't have that good offense and good defense, that they wouldn't have won the SB either.

Absolutely GB won, and I think won big. My point being that you can't say that McMahon would not have won the SB without Payton and the D, because that was the team. (A rebuttal from earlier in the Thread)

I wasn't trying to be a smart ***.......thats why i ASKED the question. I don't follow the Bears, and didn't remember what happened to them after the 85 SB. I guess being in the "smack" area means you can't ask an honest question without being treated like crap. I'm NOT a Bear fan, i didn't know. Thought i was asking someone that would answer without that kind of snottiness. Guess i was wrong on that too.
As far as "knowing" if someone is making a joke or not.....sometimes with it just being words typed on a screen, you can't "guess" exactly what someone means......whether joke or meaning it.
I'll leave you too your "smack"..........sorry for daring to ask a REAL question in here.

Sorry for stereotyping you Cheesey. I guess I'm just used to the typical "Bears only did good in 1985" crap that the majority Packers fans spew every year.
Yes, the "Smack Talk" title of this forum threw me off a bit as well. My bad.

Thanks for replying Packersacker! You renewed my hope for mankind! I know there are those out there like you have noted, that try to be wise guys and rip on your Bears. Like i have said before, i'm all for some fun bashing each others teams, Thats helps keep the rivalry alive. Believe it or not, when they made it to the SB in 85 i was pulling for them!!! I figured, if the Packers can't make it, i'm glad "Da Bears" could. I just don't keep up on what other teams are doing, or have done. So i AM dumb sometimes on other teams history.
Thanks again for replying! I DO appreciate it!!!

I'm sure I could learn lot's about the Packers from you as well. I try to keep myself fairly updated on what's going on within the division, that's why I'm here. I agree that bashing rivals does make it fun, but I would however, like the entire NFC North to be very competitive, that way the rest of the NFL can't use the "but they're in a weak division" excuse whenever an NFC North team has success. Not all Bear fans are idiots and now I know that there are also some pretty intelligent Packers fans such as yourself out there. I'm actually going to go watch the Packers and the Vikings play the Seahawks this season(Not because I like the Squaks, but because that's the closest I can get to an NFL game cheaply, being in Oregon. It sucks for me because the Seachickens away games are the Detroit and Chicago games this season, Bears won't play them in Seattle until like 2009 :x . I might fly out for the Chicago game against the Squaks at Soldier Field depending on my work schedule etc., It'll probably be a primetime game as well. I'd still rather go to a Bears/Packers game anyday, that's a piece history every year.
