Week 2, the Pack wins 34-7, everybody says they're an offensive juggernaut. In Week 3 they come to Chicago and get held to 17 and lose to the Bears.

Week 16 they score 45 to win by 28, then they play the Bears and get held to 10.

Seems like every time we play them, they're deemed to be some unstoppable force. Yet, over the last 5 games against us, they haven't scored more than 21 (all games were within 7 points too).

Our defense knows how to play the Packers.

And they know how to play us.

Should be a great game (if we get that far).

He is right about the pack n bears playing close games. No need to debate that. It's their special teams that could kill us

It should definitely be a great game, for that last reason. Frankly, our teams know how to play each other, which is how it should be in a division rivalry. I seriously can't wait for next week, but you guys still have 1 step to go before we get there.

This game will come down to ST and QB play. Both teams have proven that the defenses are good. It's going to come down to if our ST can contain yours and which QB diagnoses the opposing defense better. Right now, Rodgers is hot, there's no denying that. We've played your defense twice this year and he's had 2 chances to read it and figure it out. I say your ST guts us for a TD but Aaron outplays Jay and we get another close one.

The entire NFL is afraid of us after last night, darling! :)

Assuming the Bears beat the Seahawks, I draw the following comparison:

Cutler Vs Aaron....... Is that even a question? +1 Packers

Your D is good, but the Packers D is playing on a whole new level. Peppers is your main draw while the Packers have Matthews, Woodson, Tramon.... need I list our entire roster? +1 Packers

Running game, Bears attack with Forte and Hester = solid. Packers have Starks, BJax and Kuhn = solid. +/- 1 Nearly equal.

The only advantage I'll concede you is special teams and that is for a single player. You know who I speak of: Hester, he is awesome and the Bears are lucky to have him. +1 Bears.

Mastay, may your feet not fail you now! Do NOT kick the ball to Hester!

I have no idea how you can equate the pack run game vs the bears.Starks has 1 good game and now you all of a sudden have a run game?

    Advantage Bears!

I'm not ready to get cocky on anything. I will remain humble despite the fact that we will demolish bears/hawks in our route to the SB.

    Wha....?

Mudbaths and Bloodbaths is a great book on the Bears/Pack rivalry. If for nothing else I can respect the bears for the rivalry alone.

I just can't respect the Vikes since they play in a giant inflatable diaper.

Well when I read things like "daggers in the heart" and "ripping off Aaron Rodgers head" while it may not be literal, those certainly seem like violent or unfriendly type of things.
    I dunno...
    Maybe that's just me.....

Consider each teams run D when comparing running games. Are the Bears going to be able to stop Starks, (Kuhn and BJax too?), I have absolute confidence in the Packers run D being able to shut the Bears run down. Even if there is a slight advantage to the Bears run, it really comes down to the defenses ability to stop it.

Based on the above revised criteria, I maintain they are equal as our D will just cancel you out.

Here is a trivia for you all:

In the long and storied rivalry between the GB Packers and Chicago Bears, how many times have these two teams met in the post-season and when was the last time?

    The answers may surprise you.

JBlood, Ivo? Who is quicker on the trigger?

Guess you didn't watch his tremendous catch over Brent Grimes last night. The dude made a few drops earlier in the year but he's got talent. Not to mention he's just a piece, we have other weapons.

    Correct, DD.

To re-iterate: the Packers and Bears have only met ONCE in the playoffs before. In 1940.

    (and the Bears won it)

    Wikipedia claims it's 1941.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bears–Packers_rivalry
Bears 33, Packers 14 (December 14, 1941) – In the first and so far only playoff meeting between these two rivals, the Bears defeated the Packers 33–14 in a one-game-playoff to determine the Western Division championship. After the Packers, the Bears defeated the New York Giants en route to their fourth NFL Championship.
    Who is right?
(I don't really trust Wiki and take EVERYTHING written on there with a grain of salt since anyone and their monkey can go on there and get any old gibberish published. Just want confirmation on the information. Thanx.)
