I'm a Yankees fan, but I lived in Phoenix for a few years, so I follow the DBacks quite a bit. I moved down there during the Yankees/DBacks World Series. It was a hard first month, but after that the DBacks kind of grew on me. Especially since I could watch almost every single one of their games.

Yeah I was hoping Gagne would blow it. He lucked out and got the bottom of the line up. Good series though.

Hey, the Yankees and Red Sox played tonight and was it nationally televised? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Haha. Just kidding. Love them or hate them, they are two of the most popular teams in America, so they'll get the most coverage. Red Sox especially (as much as it pains me to say) since they are the defending champs. Actually, the most nationally televised team in the US has to be the Cubs. Everyone gets WGN, and they show 3 or 4 games a week.

Yeah St Louis has pretty much priced me out. When they started charging $5 for a bottle of water, that was it for me.

Some friends and I are heading down to Kansas City for two games to see the Royals play the Tigers next month. I'm a big Sheffield fan, so I have to see him before he's done. Kansas City is a great place to see a game. Went there last year to see my Yankees. This year we got tickets right behind the away dugout for $29 apiece. That the cheapest ticket around for those kind of seats. The food prices aren't too bad either. It's going to be pricey anywhere you go, but it's not too bad there.

Well, I went Saturday. It rained a little but it wasn't that bad. They played the NW Arkansas Naturals.(Royals AA team) and lost 5-4

Here are a few pictures I took. My camera really sucks, but here they are:

    Thanks.

Third baseman Allen Craig leads the team with 103 hits, 21 doubles, 15 home runs, and 60 RBI in 90 games. He recently had a 15 game hitting streak snapped Saturday night.

Shortstop Tyler Greene has showed some pop lately, hitting 2 home runs Saturday night, and a triple off the wall.(thats the picture above of him sliding into third) He has 13 home runs for the year. But he does strike out quite a bit. (83 strike outs in 83 games.

Outfielder Shane Robinson is third in the Texas League in batting, with a .352 average.

Eight Springfield Cardinals made the Texas League All Star game. http://www.springfieldcardinals.com/news/?id=11330

We were one game away from winning the North Division first half, which would have clinched us a playoff spot. They were also one game away last year from winning the Texas League title.

I was at a game last year when Joe Mather(current St Louis outfielder) hit 2 home runs. His dad was in attendance and was 2 rows in front of me.

    Iron - Pick a winner..

    Lance Berkman

    Ryan Braun

    Josh Hamilton

    Evan Longoria

    Justin Morneau

    Grady Sizemore

    Dan Uggla

Oh and Benny boy gets the starting nod.. first ever starting all-star game pitcher for the Crew.. think it might end in our year. And CC smashs a homer yesterday.. it will be a fun second half in the central.

Ben Sheets is a good one for sure. I'll pick Hamilton for the derby.

And speaking of Milwaukee's AA team, when I lived in El Paso TX in the late 80s, I attended a few El Paso Diablos games, who were Milwaukee's AA affiliate at the time.
