Are the Vikings a real football team?

I was talking to someone the other day who sarcastically insinuated that the Vikings, or as he called them, "Viqueens" aren't really a football team. I had to speak up. The Viqu.. err... Vikings are indeed a real football team. Here are my top arguments that should prove that point beyond a shadow of a doubt.

• They have uniforms. Yeah, they're this silly purplish color, but they still have them.
• They play in a stadium. For now. We'll have to revisit this one later.
• Most of the time they have 11 guys on the field at the same time.
• They play football. At least that's what people in Minnesota call it.
• They have cheerleaders. This might just be the most convincing argument that they really are a football team. I mean, why else would attractive women in their 20s spend time near these guys?
• They've got a balding guy with long hair running around like he doesn't know what's going on. Ok. That's doesn't really have anything to do with the team, but it's still got to be mentioned.

Thoughts? Am I right?
