When you're wrong, you're wrong. And I was wrong for threatening what I did and if you guys do decide to ban me (what I did was probably bannable), I won't return with another user name and mess with you guys, which was never my intent.
Anyways, football news is sparse right now and posting here did help soothe my football addiction. So I'm gonna quit posting for a while, reguardless... Until I can find some new material! But I will be keeping a closer eye on the Pack and you can bet I'll return (pending my own banning) with a fresh can of smack.
And in all seriousness, good luck with your upcoming season. Not only will you guys need luck, but I hope everyone is praying to their collective gods for a winning season for the Packers (relax, more smack).

thanks for the "shout out" mineral but remember that there IS a fine line when coming on an opposing teams site. alot of us feel like this is our own little "family" here that we can lean on & have some fun with. we all have bad days & those are the days when the last thing you want to see is somebody talking smack about the team we all love. "respectful smack" would be the stuff that 4thand26, big3, vikefan, etc... would write. those guys are long time posters here who have earned the respect of the site.

What's the difference between their smack and mine? The difference is probably that I just don't like the Packers on any plane. I RESPECT the pack, but you'll never see me post anything positive about them until they earn something positive to be said. I don't think Favre should be playing the game anymore and I think your line is horrid. Your receivers are a couple of living breathing punchlines (driver excluded). So what if I don't hold back what I believe about your team?
I don't call names and I'm semi-respectful to most of you. I'm a home-team guy and my home-team isn't in Green Bay - they're our arch-rivals. So in fun, I will poke at the Packers (get your mind out of the gutter here, not in a sexual way). Whether or not I do it consistent with the manner of the posters you've listed is another story.

There are other ways to stop a user from posting other than 'banning' them.

If you are a mod, then you know a user can be stopped if the admin is willing to take the time to do so.
Also, being a mod, you should have the respect for other forum moderators to not cause a ruckus knowing first hand how thankless a job being a moderator can be.
