Punch alleged: A Milwaukee woman said she was punched in the face by a Packers player on Monday, WTMJ-TV reported Tuesday.

The alleged punch was thrown after a fight broke out at linebacker Nick Barnett's Five-Six Ultra Lounge in Green Bay. The woman said that during the fight, a Packers player grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face.

Barnett's agent told WTMJ that Barnett tried to break up the fight and was hit in the lip.

Green Bay police were called to the club because of the fight, WTMJ reported, but were still investigating. The player was not identified.

It's possible if she was caught in the middle of a fight, but I would take any speculation like this with a grain of salt. People aren't naive and they know that if they can alleged they were assaulted by a professional sports player, there could be a major civil case for them. In other words, if someone hit her by accident, or she was freely involved in the fight and then got hit, she might just point at whatever Packer was in the place and try to get her friends to back her up.

Or, maybe she was actually assaulted, in which case the person deserves to be punished. I suppose it will come down to whatever witnesses were there.

one swing by Barnett's clubbed-arm and any fight would be broken up swiftly...

He must have swung and missed if the woman was helping him off the ground.

Do you now see why the city wants to revoke the liquor license?

Playing rap music, constant police calls, loud patrons, litter in the neighborhood and patrons urinating on neighbors lawns.

Didn't St. Nick promise to clean up the joint?

He's taking the initiative, by beating the **** out of the trouble makers.

Not to be picky, but I don't think "playing rap music" really qualifies as something bad.

Unless you hate rap, of course.

And sometimes the bathrooms in bars are full and you just gotta go. The only alternative? **** on the nearest building.

Rap Music has far more crimminal activity and violence associated with it than Polka, Oktoberfest, Country Western, Blue Grass, Classical, Big Band, Rock, or any other music.

How much security is needed for a classical concert in the park compared to a rap "concert" in the park?

Check the insurance rates for any "rap" event compared to any other.

The marketplace says rap music is bad. You can't argue with economics.

As to the female she might have received less than she deserved. No one has said what she did that was so bad it would motivate a guy to retaliate that way.

Let's not judge the woman until we find out what she did.

She claimed she was celebrating the New Year at Five-Six Ultra Lounge in Green Bay, owned by Barnett, when a fight broke out. During the melee, she said, another Packer player grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face.

Her eye is black and the left side of her face is swollen. She said she was only trying to help Barnett off the floor after he was knocked down by someone else.
Barnett's agent admitted a fight broke out at Barnett's club. He claimed Barnett tried stopping the fight, but got hit in the lip while doing so.

Barnett's agent said Barnett was doing fine.

Green Bay police didn't arrest anyone but said they are investigating. The woman hoped officers arrest the player who she said ruined her New Year's Day.
The agent of the player that allegedly attacked the woman has not returned calls.

As for the other Packers involved in the Five-Six fight, TODAY'S TMJ4 is not naming them until we get independent confirmation.

So what does the Packers organization have to say? A spokesman said, "nothing" until more information comes out from the investigation
.

3 points:

1) Who could knock Barnett down??

2) She wants them arrested because "they ruined her New Year's Day"

3) No comment as to who was involved. Is this so the Vikings won't try to sign them this offseason?

If no one is saying anything as to who was involved, how do we know it wasn't a Vikings player? Just kidding but the problem seems to be a real mess now doesn't it?

If it were a Vikings player, we know it wasn't one of their QBs -- They can't hit anything.
