What can be said about what may be the last game of Bretts career. Well according to Jason Whitlock (self described espn NFL guru) he could be traded to the Raiders (dear god). Alot has been said by commentators and everyone else who describes themselves as resident expert or anything else. Former NFL Players Marino, Cocaine Head Irvin and any other have deemed themselves experts of the NFL. What like playing a game at a certain position make you and expert. I played Soccer for Naval Airstation Miramar for two years so therefore I am an expert on the outs and ins of Soccer GO PELE.

I guess what I am saying is no one has the market on opinions or analysis. Not Ryan not Pack66 not Phil (resident Bear expert on a Packer site???)

Bottom line is if Brett retires I would be sad to see a guy go not because he is a do no wrong QB making mistakes that would get a rookie cut but a guy that embodies how we should all live our live with a devil be damned attitude throwing ourselves into everyday.

Brett I feel is starting to believe the press and has seen TT do absolutely squat to help the team win Rebuilding theory in my opinion is bullshit. Texans Arizona Browns and others have been in rebuild mode for what how long. Only Cincy has decided to not rebuild but reload. THAT I feel is how to be sucessful.

If Brett goes away whether via retirement or trade it makes no differance We will still be left with Rodgers who I hope will not try and fill Bretts shoes but will make his own legacy (good I hope) in the NFL and with the Pack.

    BUT BRETT PLEASE STAY

TT BETTER GET SOME ANSWERS ON THAT FIELD it has been Ten years since the last super bowl win. No REbuilding Reload

the reload theory doesn't really apply to Cinncy...they haven't fired their gun for about 15 years. Mr. Palmer turned out to be a stud, he's not doing it alone, but the majority of teams would benefit from a QB of his skill level.

I saw today that they signed him to an extension for another 6 years. A smart move because he is the real deal. His 2nd season and he goes to the pro bowl and leads a perennial cellar dweller to the division title.

Some insider!! The Raiders are currently about 30 million over the projected cap for 2006 with Kerry Collins due an 8 million roster bonus in March. Why would they trade for Brett and his 7 million base salary next year??

They will be cutting like the Titans!! QB Collins, CB Woodson, DT Sapp, and others are expected to be free agents. This guy could not be more wrong.

The same article says the Raiders could use Jeff George. Duh? Jeff George was a Raider!! Somewhere after Atlanta and before he got to Minnesota Jeff George had some sort of no cut-no trade deal with Al Davis because Jeff George didn't want to move again. Al Davis lied to him and said we have a cap problem and would George agree to waive his no cut until the next week and re-sign the same contract. Jeff George believed him and wanted to show he was a team player and was cut. He still hasn't heard from Al Davis.

How can someone print garbage without research? "journalist" "writers" etc. continually amaze me with their laziness.

ESPN really went downhill after Disney purchased them. They are no longer sports programming but sports entertainment. They like teams with loudmouth crimminals especially on the east coast for easy copy. Notice how little coverage Sapp gets now that he is in the Pacific time zone(and on IR)? West coast night games don't matter.

Some day they may get West of Philly and South of D.C. The current exception is Dallas(NFC East team). I don't understand ESPN. The Bears are in a major market and winning but get little coverage. Denver also is ignored. Last April for the draft they ignored the first few guys in the second round so they could do a T O story. #32 pick gets his photo and highlights shown but #33 pick gets nothing. Day 2 they ignored selections to show interviews with 1st round picks. Oh and the expertise of Suzy!!

Well I guess I'm venting but there is a lot they ignore. The Packers have only one player on their team and when he retires the Packers will disappear on ESPN like the Cardinals(Are they in the league?).

jbShell says in his posting-Quote"Brett I feel is starting to believe the press and has seen TT do absolutely squat to help the team win Rebuilding theory in my opinion is b.s.. Texans Arizona Browns and others have been in rebuild mode for what how long. Only Cincy has decided to not rebuild but reload. THAT I feel is how to be sucessful." unquote----This longtime (life time) Packer fan thinks that It is hard to define rebuilding term in this Competitive balance (free agency and salary cap) era that started in 1993. There is sort of rebuiilding going on every year by most franchises because losing players to salary cap, player retiring, players cut because new players coming in who are better and other reasons. Since 1993 On average 20 percent plus of roster turns over with some teams in the NFL every year. Because of competitve balance in NFL, teams like Chargers turned around their team in one year for a record of 4-12 in '03 to 12-4 last year. many 5-10 teams in '04 are now having very successful winning seasons in '05 like Cowboys, Bears, Giants. You used Bengals as example. They have been trying to find a winning team for decades. It is only the last couple of years of .500 seasons that they have turned it around this year . It has been known as inept franchise who would not pay its players and had lousy draft for years. Texans and Browns are relatively new teams in NFL (expansion clubs) in the NFL and are having their problems getting a good team like most NFL Expansion teams of past had.. The Arizona Cardinals have moved their franchise three times in their existence from Chicago, St Louis and now Phoenix. The same inept rich owner Mr Bidwell has screw up this team for years. The Packer franchise has been stable and winning for 13 years until this year and is not in class of losing teams like Houston, Arizona, Cleveland , New Orleans or Detriot. This losing season can be turned around quickly next year that is if Brett Favre comes back in '06. In the eyes of many, Aaron Rodgers probably needs one more year before he may be ready. As for Packer's new GM Ted Thompson is is far too early to give assessment of his performance that will occur in 2 or 3 years down the line. This year he was "hamstrung" by a tight salary cap and he had to unload three key players, the Packer franchise didn't want to lose in the era of salary cap and free agency. Some teams have worked well with the system, some have not. Some teams had to cut almost all their high priced players in short period of time, like the 49er and Titans etc. The Packer have never been in "salary cap hell "during the last 13 years of winning. But this year, it is sort of caught up to them. Ted Thompson has aready taken care of this problem and has some room below projected salary cap for '06. (somewhere in $10M to $15M range) he can do some potentially good things in '06, he was unable to do in '05. The Packer franchise will not go into "Cap hell" at least for now, because of necessary action of Packer GM Ted Thompson. Brett Favre could care less about his press clippings. His very honest and straight forward about his answer to questions by Media. And some times get him into controversy. He is, who he is and will not change and hasn't in 14 years he has been here. he is the best all around Quarterback in Packer history. I have seen every QB from Tobin Rote, "Babe" Parilli , Bart Starr. Lynn Dickey," Majik man" and host of other Packer QBs in amost 60 years of watching Packer football here in Green Bay. His 14 year career statistic with Packers prove my assessment of his accomplishment prove my conclusion. And he is still one of best QBs given good surrounding talent, which Packer did not have this year because of various reasons. Brett admitted , he didn't have a good year. Any QB with Brett's 13 year record can be given one bad year. he is not perfect but No human being is!! Testaverte had many more interceptions (somewhere in 43 range) than Bretts 28 so far this year when Testaverete was with Tampa Bay. and He play many seasons in NFL since then, including this year with the Jets until he went on IR. Testaverde is no Brett Favre!!!

Mind you that I'm very drunk right now but I also wish you would use a blank between paragraphs. I also wish you would stop referring yourself as a "lifelong" Packer fan as everyone who frequents this board knows this by now as you seem to reference it with every post. Anyway, you have a ton of Packer knowledge and I enjoy reading your posts (when they are a tad shorter)!

    Hey Ryan,

Why is this post left alone?

May I start my own thread calling people names?

Hey Net it is not meant to call people names it is meant to draw attention to some people who consider themselve above reproach when it comes to there opinions. Maybe it does belong in the smack section and if Ryan wishes to move it I understand. It just illistrates Net that some people come on this board to flame. They have no real intrest in the Packers other than to cause sensationalism whether it comes to Brett Sherman Fergie or anyone else. And yes Net I did label you as an AC because your post seemed to serve the purposes of Flaming the board.

And yes even I am an ******** sometimes when it comes to my opinion.

Pack I have not called you Ryan or anyone else in that Post an ********. Just stating that opinions here have the same weight as any one whether they have one post or one million makes no differance.

The *** cown in my First post was in refernce to Whitlock who has a JOb at ESPN .com and considers himself a NFL GURU.
