Those things are selling like hot cakes over here. It's pretty funny, you'll see someone drive up in an SUV and buy one.

I had a car a few years ago that ran on biodiesel that we got from a Mexican restaurant's castoff oil. Wish I kept it. They were giving it away because it was garbage to them. Geez, with the price of gas here, I really wish I kept it.

In some ways, it is cheaper to fly or use Amtrak. We take Amtrak from Whitefish Mt to Milwaukee and round trip for two of us is $600 bucks. Can't do that driving with motels and gas and food.
My daughter in New Mexico just flew into Spokane WA yesterday from Albuquerque and round trip on Delta was $229. She is flying into Milwaukee this summer from the same place and round trip on Northwest is $269.
Go figure! It used to be cheaper to drive than to fly. Now it seems just the opposite.
I'm gonna go get me a used jet and fly everywhere. Maybe Travolta can be my pilot.

I was gonna ask that too.
Man......you'd think it would be cheaper in England........it doesn't have to be shipped as far as America.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think their gas taxes are much higher than ours.

He said £1.20, not $1.20. So £1.20 would be about $2.35.

    It should be 3.846 * 2.35 which is about $9 a gallon.

The funny thing is even though the source was a Mexican restaurant, it smelled like French fries.

    $5.00 per gallon, BIG DEAL.

Say you get 20 miles per gallon in your car.

Do you know what that means???????

That means that we need to revolt against SUBWAY and not EXON.

FIVE DOLLAR... FIVE DOLLAR... FIVE DOLLAR FOOT LONGS.

Subway is advertising it's FOOT LONG for $5.00

Their are are 1,509 Feet in a mile.

That means that if I have a car that get 20 Miles per gallon....

Subway is charging me, based of $5.00 per Gallon, and $5.00 per Foot Long.... $159,000 per gallon.

    Sorry for this analogy.

    R.P. can not sleep tonight.

Uh, R.P. .... aren't there 5280 feet in one mile? :-? With your logic and reasoning, then that gallon of gas should cost about $528,000.

    Or whatever!

Now you got me all screwed up. Just gimme my Turkey and ham footlong!

The only thing bad about Amtrak is the possibility of huge layovers. If we had a public transportation system like Europe does, that would be awesome.

We live 20 miles from Milwaukee, so there's no real public transportation here. If you don't drive a car, your stuck.

gopackgo.....We have travelled on Amtrak 6 times and have never had a layover, but that's because we can go direct from Montana to Milwaukee. We've been late several times but that isn't too bad.

On the other hand, I sat in Minneapolis airport one time for 9 hours waiting for a connection to Milwaukee. All because my connecting flight from Missoula was 30 minutes late and the pilot on the Flight to Milwaukee had a girlfriend waiting for him and didn't wait for us. About 45 pissed off people that Northwest had to put up for the night and get us to the airport at 5 am the next morning.
